Hard to say anything because the information is very limited. Adwords campaign success is so sensitive that even a minor, tiny tweak can result in failiure or success. Because there are so many criterias to take into consideration, most people fail and lose money and the minority who crack the code, rake in big with limited competition. When you are burning your budget with every click, they make profit and once you bankrupt your bankroll, they get the whole traffic and take over the market.
Sure there are endless reasons for an adwords campaign to fail but let me tell you some of the possibilites that might be your problem/s.
1) Your ad copy is deceiving aka misleading. You got to create an enticing ad copy so people are clicking your ads but actually what you are promoting is not really what they are looking for.
For instance, every offer comes with a deal breaker. If you are promoting one year free website offer but if there's an upfront payment for something bundled with your offer, that's a deal breaker for some people. In other words, your ad will come across misleading.
2) You don't have buying keywords, you have information keywords. If this is the case then you are attracting people who are not ready to buy yet. They will buy someday but not today and probably not from you. This is when the squeeze page comes into play and a main reason why the money is in the list. Because when you build a list, basically you are capturing all the prospects who night be available to purchase your offer in the future and you can sell them over and over again in the future. If you dont capture, you only have one shot and since you are depending on the owner's content, you have limited control over the landing page.
3) You are in the tire kicker zone. I don't recommend this especially if you are on a budget. Tire kicker zone only works if your offer has a good conversion rate and if you have deep pockets. If not, you will run out of money before your offer starts converting and because of the zone, you will reach your daily budget really fast. Get out of the zone (top 3) and lower your bids. You will get more clicks for the same budget and more people will see your offer in the long run. Also, make sure your ads are not running in 24 hour cycle. You should NOT let g run your ads after midnight. That's when you get the tire kickers most and it will do you harm rather than good.
4) You are a victim of click fraud. Someone wants you out and fraduelently click your ads to to take you out. I have seen product owners doing this just to pay less commission. Some will outright tell you that you cant outrank them. Keep this possibility in mind.
5) The offer has potential but the sales copy is bad therefore the conversion rate is bad. Well, if you are promoting someone elses offer, you will have limited control so unless you are really sure it worths the effort to come around the problem, you should just drop it and move on to another offer.
6) The offer is just not converting. Many people do this mistake. An offer might sound great on paper but it might practically fail big time. There's no reason to get "obsessed" with it and trying to make it work. You have unlimited options so just move on and let the product owner worry about it.
Keep in mind that, having a profitable campaign is like stumbling upon a gold mine. It is really really "rare". Most campaigns even break even after countless tests and tweaks. Yes, unfortunately we are not in early 00's anymore and competition is really tough out there. G changed almost everything and it becomes even harder every day to make money with lots of money. Good luck!
