Hello BHW,

Recently, I got an SEO and Website development project of Wordpress CMS for one of our clients. Since I am very well at SEO but a noob when it comes to coding and development. As it is one of my first client hard to say NO to him. So I decided to learn Wordpress and work on my own.

Looking suggestions regarding the best Learning material source for Wordpress website would be really helpful.

i think in this case you can hire someone at a cheap rate to make a website if your client is paying good amount of money as learning takes some time
 
I am just looking for some rich content to learn Word Press from Scratch here. Since I have a lot of connections where people are desperately looking for a beautiful website.
 
You must go to the Dagobah System. LOL jk jk there are lots of materials on other planets too.

And i agree with @TriLokEsha, while you learn your way through WordPress i think it´s best if you just hire a WP developer to fulfill your customer needs and requirements for this project.

You can talk to @Veil123, pretty sure he will deliver outstanding results for you.

In regards to learning WordPress, there are countless resources from where you can learn this. I myself, I´m actually learning it too!

What @PHPInjected posted are great start-up points to get started.

Personally, i would look into a few Udemy and Lynda courses as well.

YouTube is filled with these types of tutorials that will guide you through step-by-step how to build a website from scratch using WP.

On a more technical level...There are other amazing YouTube tutorials that will teach you programming and website development from scratch as well.

This should be you first option and in the meantime you may take some course from udemy or something similar and learn wordpress, it shouldn't take long to learn the basics. Once you know the basics of it, you can work along with the person you hire on some real-time projects.
 
Honestly, how I learned WP was just being on it. I knew nothing when I first started, and just by poking around on the site, I learned on my own. I feel that is the best way to learn.
