Looking for help about Back linkns of Google Webmaster tools

Hi Fellows,
Just 3 days ago once i check my back links on Google Webmaster tools. It was good then. My problem is when i rechecked yesterday i found there 17 in old page mode and 56 in new webmaster tools backlinks showing. I am not sure why its happened.
Can any body help me to understand what is happening there? Have i lost backlinks or it just a bug and will be fixed soonest and i will get back my lost links?

I would stick to the new one and ignore the old one. Old one probably doesn't even have database updated anymore.

Mine old one is a mess for sure.
