Hi, i would like to find if there's any website where i can list and search companies (worldwide) or for now in US. For example: i search for "IT companies" and result will be some sorted list by country etc...

How is it about personal information protection in US ? Can i gather information about companies like title, description, phone, website ? :) Thanks for replies.

I am curious if you are talking about searching for a company lets say ATT or Verizon, you want their contact information? Or are you looking for who owns the company, like private companies?

I know in most states you can lookup business registration information and it will show you who the top people are in companies. which for small companies that means those top people usually own the company.

In the US there are lots of sites, you could start with YellowPages, YellowBook, CitySearch, Manta...

Globally it's a little trickier. Largest aggregator I know is Factual, they have over 80M global businesses, but are more protective of their dataset.

Of course, you can found the company description, title, phones, websites etc. If your targeted companies are US based then you have to search them in US based sites. First you have to open their sites then you have to logging in and then you will eligible for collection the details information. What about your plan?
