What are you trying to do? being as vague as possible, if you need to be. You can use most hosting providers as a way to send email blasts. I know HG allows you to send 500 emails per day (that is what they "officially" state), but I send around ~300 per server to be on the safe side.

If you are spamming emails with sales letters that cannot read out right and do not offer anything of value, sure. Otherwise, 500 * 7 = 3500 per week. That means 14,000 reach per month. Any GOOD salesmen can have that on autopilot and attend to it maybe once per day and make a good living.

The main use is sending mass amount of emails. In my opinion at least.

Simple Mail Transfer Protocol. It is majorly used for sending emails from your applications, websites, mail client outlook etc.
If you get a hosting, usually it comes with a smtp server. You can use it.
If you are looking for a short term solution I have an available SMTP account to share, but if you are looking for a long term one, better to use a professional provider.
