Looking for a php GURU with time and vision!

Here is what I have in mind:

I'm a php noob, and by noob I mean 0(zero). I know some html, I am a wordpress guru, but I would like to learn php and build something huge in the process.
I am thinking of building the coolest membership platform ever. On this platform entrepreneurs can just upload their content and easily charge for their content, get traffic reports, refunds, email campaigns stats, and basically a lot of stuff.
I am looking for someone who will help me build this, guide me to become a php expert and share the end results of this project.

REQUIREMENTS:
-must be passionate about what he does;
-medium-expert php knowledge;
-open minded;

Do you know someone who would be interested? Or at least where I can search and find someone?

Um, sounds like you want a shopping cart solution In fact most of your spec is already done for several ecommerce packages. No point re-inventing the wheel.

I was offering you some very valid advice. You can learn PHP by following an MVC model like Magento, have a great extensible framework, and given its popularly, you couldn't swing a cat without hitting someone with Magento knowledge.

When you're first starting out, there's two fundamentally different approaches. You can try to learn some rudimentary building blocks, like PHP & MySQL Everyday Apps for Dummies, where a handful of apps are built from scratch in a broad immersion method.

The other approach is jump into an existing system, and often due to necessity, tweaking and customising bits and bobs, gradually expanding your knowledge until you feel able to take on a massive ground-up project.

I've been around software development in one role or another since Reagan was president, and would be happy to bounce ideas off you. I'm okay in php, decent in mysql, and have familiarity with quality assurance, implementation, disaster recovery/backups, etc.

If you'd like, I've got a lot of php/mysql ebooks and would be happy to share them with you.

What about 3-4 collaborators on the project? You'd get further faster and get a lot of different perspectives. Personally, I wouldn't want any share of the end result, but rather am just willing to lend you a hand because you seem focused and motivated

isnt it best to start with small simple projects when learning from 0 experience? I want to learn php too, find it very interesting but i think if i jumped into something complex it would just end up putting me off and probably not teach me much in the process.
