Lonely/Depressed from IM

get out and meet more people. this will either solve your problem, or it will show you that you never had one.

Try to find blackhatters in your city. You wont be feeling lonely then, you can discuss other money making ideas with blackhatters, it would be like give and take.

The key question though - is do you enjoy IM?

For me I don't mind dropping 10-16 hour days consistently because well, I love it.

Granted that has come at the cost of other areas in life but that balance is something that can be readdressed in time.

But if you don't love doing it - well it ain't gonna get better!

I don't know where you live but in my country 9-5 salaries are from $300 to $2000 MAX!

That is if you are lucky only ))

Same here lakim0. $200 or $300 is the normal salary and if you get lucky then you may get $500 job.

You meditate ... meditation makes you lonely... because u start seeing through thoughts

I feel for OP, I used to be in your position, used to have alot of friends, and end up having nothing in common with them, your 100 contact lists becomes 10, well for me anyway. I would advice you to buy a laptop if you dont have one for work, go to your train station and pick any destination.

Travel and travel man, trust me it will do you good, you meet new people, get new idea, more energy. If your lucky maybe a girlfriend :)

When i'm alone = I got depression and super loneliness.

When with my gf = I miss my "loneliness" time. :( I also imagine, if one day I marriage, I probably will miss my loneliness time. :(
(because when u alone, you will have many deep/philosophy activities and thinking. u have your own time and u have your own space)

Conclusion: hangout, travel(solo travel, backpacker, find a gf), will kill your loneliness and depression. But it will give u another depression and stress.

This is another side of IMer,after many years into it,i feel should be proper balance,IM as CAREER is very hard becz life is not just one day or month so just earning for 1month for few months is not enough or not going to work

I was about to say "It's time to move then" but realized that if you are making enough money in IM then your country suits you tax wise.

Hey.. come on.. you have wonderful world around.. open your eyes wide.. you have millions and millions of friends for you.. all you have to do is start conversation..

Most of the time we expect others to come and talk and break the ice between.. when you want someone to accompany you have to start talking first..

start making friends and enjoy..

I find that it's kind of boring if someone I'm with has too many things in common with me, it's more interesting when they don't, means I get to pick and explore someone else's mind and learn about a world I've never been in.

Take the time to get to know the other person's world and don't be afraid to share yours too, who knows, you might just attract some people to travel to yours, maybe even live there too :)

Take care pewpew! ^_^

I was the same way for a long time until I told some of the money I had made from IM and opened a bar. Not something I would suggest for everyone but find something to do to get out from in front of the computer at least a few hours a day to meet people.

I have a month taking salsa classes, going to the gym and just being more "out there" and it has worked out great.

This. You said you already work out, so your next step, if you feel your social like is slacking, is salsa. TRUST ME.

Go to your local salsa school/studio and sign up for some classes. Thank us via Paypal gratitude a month from now.

If you are making enough money, why not outsource some tasks to free up some of your time?

Since you are in school, go out with classmates and have fun. There has to be a balance between work and life. There is no use making money if you never enjoy it. Even if you dedicate one day a week to go out to dinner or to a class where you can meet like-minded people. Focus groups in your area might be something you would like as well. Business-minded people that have also found success might be just what you need.

I always prefer to be alone than with people. I like being alone. I find many people that I know to be disagreeable and annoying. It doesn't bother me the slightest bit if I'm alone or not. Friends come and go, I've never seen a point in making an effort to keep friends, they never really seemed like real friends to me, just the fake type.

Some users have suggested to change your personality, but don't. You shouldn't have to change anything about yourself.

The best thing you can do is be happy that you're alone. Friends are; distracting, annoying, aggravating and require too much attention. You will do better without friends. Just try to find friends who aren't the fake type.

Think of being lonely as a sacrifice that you need to make in order to be successful. Take the time to go out to some bars and clubs and just forget work and party like most of the brain dead guys do. Get a bitch, smash it, then get back to work.

seriously? you're in college, shift your schedule at the beginning of next semester to give yourself a 30min break between classes, sometime during the day, that will give you an excuse to tool around campus and just meet people

show up early for a class one day and hang out, say hi to people you see there, make an impression on people in your class and then bump into them later, now you've met whoever they were hanging out with

college is easymode for social networking, i'm halfway tempted to pay for community college here again just so i can meet good new people

Take an analytical approach to getting better with people. You seem to have an advantage with money, why not have an advantage with people? Take an interest in a variety of human emotions like love, fear, dismay, anguish, hope, lies, etc. and apply them to real life. Just get to the point where you can look at someone and know them like a book - it can get sort of jaded if you have no values or spiritual beliefs, but it's a great way to go for social confidence without becoming a sheep
