Thanks for replying, I do appreciate any and all help.
So if I designed a PBN which featured the various neighborhoods of Boston or Philadelphia with information like where schools, rec centers, types of housing, etc.... and then a PBN on carpentry/remodeling and pointed both to my Boston historic home remodeling website, I would double dip? Doing so would be beneficial... in theory.
A goal would be the top stonepointing or wainscotting expert on old homes in these neighborhoods.
Answer is yes, they would each add link juice. They need to look sufficiently different / unique from each other to avoid detection, if your goal is to make this last.
But, I wonder if you are assuming it is the network providing the juice as an entity....it is the individual website that does so. The PBN is really a collection of websites used to provide links from. These websites never should be detectably related to each other (e.g. never a link from one to the other).
So, your separation of neighborhoods vs carpentry/remodeling is really irrelevant. Having links from either type of website to a wainscoting expert website effectively makes them part of the "same PBN", if you know what I mean - you own all those websites, and any link from them is your PBN for that money site.
Hence, you want to be careful with your linking strategy (e.g. don't link all your neighborhood websites to your wainscoting website at the same time, such as after your sixth article on each). You'll need to spread them out and on different topics. Also, your publishing pattern on each neighborhood site ideally ought to be on different topics - though the same topic can be published at different random times across each, with sufficient spinning / editing to make them look different.
Anyway, I hope this gives you a better picture of how this works.
I would highly recommend you post any additional questions on the following thread, as Alex and others there have been quite helpful in guiding many...
