List: Free Email List Building Methods - constantly updated as ideas come in!

If you check my profile I am he'll bent on list building to secure my Family's future and to inject a little freedom in our lives.

Anyways, I will list as many free email list building methods as I know about from my studies here and from around the Internet.

I am asking for help from the community in building this list. Please post your ideas and I will include them as edits so that methods do not get lost in the thread.

I am only a student here so I am also asking for help from anyone that can contribute in a meaningful way.

I am using free Mailchimp to collect names and emails and to autorespond for now. I am using free Blogger Blogs and 90secondsqueezepages as squeeze pages I will upgrade to paid Aweber/Hosting later.

I am promoting free offers created from PLR and WSOs found here on BHW using the above free list building strategies. I will upgrade to ppc, ppv, media buys when I am able to pay for it. Right now my list is aprox. 200 with only 1-2 sales/week (CB/CPA). I will be able to go for paid options after growing my list to 2,000+... hopefully.

I am planning on a 1%/week conversion on my list: eg. 100 subs = 1 sale @ $30 for me/week:sad: - 1,000 subs = 10 sales @ $300 for me/week 10,000 subs =100 sales @ $3,000/week etc...:greddy2:

I hold a full time job that pays the mortgage, bills, and kids schooling so there is None to invest in this project. It must be self sustaining therefore start out free.

I know many starting out in IM cannot afford to spend any money at the beginning and I hope that getting this all together in one place can help those interested.

Nice source of 3rd party list building sites. You could also try small social networks, but you have probably already thought about that

Up it goes! FB and Pinterest aren't the only social networks out there. I don't think I can post a link yet but there are a number of threads that have current lists.

launching wso with 100% is indeed one of the best idea. You can just do an ebookat very low price or even free.

I consider myself a student in IM.


I have no extra money to put towards IM. In fact I am up to my ass in debt which is why I am here trying to learn/build a solution.


Hope I don't have to cater to to many of these posts a bit humiliating!

Just so you know, Aweber has a $1 trial for the first month. MailChimp do not like affiliates, and they will snoop through your emails, and delete your account if they suspect you aren't following the rules.

Thank you for the heads up.

To get around this I only put a snippet of the freebie in the emails with read more here which links to my blog which has the freebie posted and that is where the ads are...the blog is private with password access which comes with the email which makes me exclusive which inspires the sharing of passwords which means more eyes on my blog and ads.

So the only link in email is to my private blog...blogger blog lol

The next type of blog will be hosted Wordpress where the blog is visible to all but only members can see the entire post. Of course new visitors will have to opt in to my. Was letter to be a member and see the whole post plus members only sections.

In this way seo will help in the future and I will optimize but will only consider seo as icing on the cake since it seems to be soooo fickle.
