Linkwheels - Post Your Successes and Failures Here!

It can take up to a month for all your properties to get indexed. However, the usual time is 5-7 days.

Gmail only asks for phone verification if you try and make more than 1 account per day. It's asked me a few times, just wait a day and it's back to normal. You could also try clearing cookies. If not, just use yahoo.

I always make 2 posts per property/blog. I call these either decoy posts or filler posts. Decoy posts go on my wordpress and squidoo pages, and they're aimed at making my sites look less spammy so they don't get taken down. Filler posts are just junk content which I add encase Google doesn't like new sites with just one post - looks suspicious to me, anyway.

Blog commenting will help your wheel get indexed faster, and also increase its linking power. Your real aim here is no juice up your wheel so that it provides both power and relevance in its links. If you have these factors, a good page 1 presence is more likely.

thanks I am up again will create a new link wheel
and this time wont worry if i donot get indexed quickly..

domain names get indexed very quickly...so i got worried...

@blackhattrial
Why not using bloggergenerator? I always using my domain mail to register blogger.com
So far, no account`ve been deleted.

Micallef, what do you think of this link wheel design. It is my first. 5 wordpress properties and 2 blogger properties.

Also, I intend it use this wheel and re-use it later. Will it defeat the purpouse of a wheel to have, lets say, an article about an rss tool on each blog, and then maybe a week later place an article about twitter on each blog? and ever now and again ciruclate a new layer of articles onto the wheel.

As far as staying on track with the topic. I have run one layer of promotional articles through the wheel, but I am not sure how long it will take to see a result.

Some of my properties were indexed almost immediately. I was notified through google alerts (tracking the keyword there)

Great idea, but I have some words of advice:

1. Don't build a linkwheel using the same web 2.0 property more than 1 time, i.e. 4 wordpress, and 2 blogger = NOTHING INDEXED within a few short days.

2. Of all the web 2.0 sites available to build on, the only site that has ever removed any of my content is wordpress.com. Not only that, but they've done it more than once. I just don't use them anymore. They don't rank for shiite anyway.

Cheerio

Just got to mention here that this diagram has a major flaw, namely that it closes the loop on the linking structure. If 5 links to 6 and 7, but 6 also links to 7, a closed loop is created which looks very suspicious. Repeated around the wheel, Google will be in no doubt that this is an attempt at manipulation.

I would advise linking the properties in this way: 1 links 3 and 4, 2 links to 4 and 5 etc.

Also, you will not get content removed from wordpress if you write a short decoy post with a picture of some kindly old guy who just wants to blog, dammit. I have wordpress blogs with my affiliate link at the top and they're still up. You've just got to spend that extra few minutes making it look genuine.

tried 2 6 spoke wheels. after 2 weks only 1 links shows up.

no links from the other wheel. Trying some other stuff now which seems to work better as I am now on page 1 for 100.000 keywords.

Hi Mic, actually not closing the wheel would be against the original idea of a linkwheel, however i think you are very right, google surely checks on blatant manipulation and has linkwheels probably figured out long time ago. I am building lw's but yet have to see progress on google.. well yahoo and msn seem to eat these very well..

I love the link wheel concept, but I was wondering if you guys could answer a couple ?'s about them.

1.) Are you suppose to rewrite your article before you post it to your web 2.0 properties, or is it fine if you just post the original article as is?

2.) Also, for building linkwheels for each keyword of an article, do you need to re-write the artcle for each new linkwheel, or just post the original?

3.) whats the best resource to submit rss feeds to?

thanks in advance

Since this topic is getting hot , i would like share to mine

I am used LinkWheel + Angela's Method , this what i have done . However i take me 10-15 days to complete one linkwheel

1) Use keyword that less than 200K results - long tail keyword
2) Find product at clickbank related to this niche
3) Rewrite 2/3 articles for every web 2.0 ( I don't use spin ), set title <keyword> - <your article title >, make use your articles has value to reader, dont put junk
4) At bottom of page or side, i did product recommendation
5) Ping using pingler
6) Bookmark all using social poster, make sure put different title while bookmarking , <keyword>-title, to avoid duplicate content by search engine

- Angela's Method only apply to focus hub
- I bought new domain (long keyword) as focus page , make use your focus page nichely design
- Start ping and bookmark , after all link completed
- Keep posting new content and ping and bookmark at least fortnighly

I have good success with this method around 70% in first page

Good luck

DUDE YOU REALLY REALLY SO BADLY NEED TO USE THIS!

http://www.imcashsaver.com/se-nuke

If link wheels take you more than 10 days, you need senuke, will do all the link wheeling and more for you. AUTOMATICALLY, filling in captchas also!

ok my linkwheel sucked

I have a site (autoblog) with keyworded URL that was position 11 in the google serps for the keywords in the actual URL.
previously only had a few blog comments and links from other blogs.
Yesterday I decided to give the linkwheel a try and created a 12 spoke link wheel. each spoke had a manually spun article and a link to the previous spoke and the main site. This actually took me ages as I haven't played with web2 sites before.

This morning I checked the serps position and it was still 11. Again I've just checked the Serps position, its been about 24 hours since the wheel was built.

WTF serps position in google is 156!!
I'm thinking is this for real?
I'm hoping that it will readjsut it self and get back to at least posisiton 11.

Can anyone advise or share a similar experience?

Linkwheels do not take effect in one day. I would be surprised if the majority of your spokes were even indexed yet. Read the rest of this thread for further details. After just 24 hours, a linkwheel cannot be responsible for what happened to your site.

Much more likely, the fact that it's an autoblog has caused the drop in rank.

seems like too much work for a handful of hits. Entering capchas, waiting for approvals, getting accounts banned, spinning content, pinning, building links, choosing the right offer to promote, researching keywords, etc. If it works, good for you.

I'd say white or maybe grey. Who cares anyway? :D

hubpages, weebly, vox, xanga and quizilla have RSS freeds, not sure about last two because I didn't try them so far. Download this Linus' e-book http://www.blackhatworld.com/blackhat-seo/member-downloads/66543-get-linkwheel.html there is explained how you can get RSS feeds for those mentioned above.

Try using allintitle:keyword operator in google.com and through USA IP.

This is how Areeb, the creator of SEnuke describes difficulty of keyword (numbers are from my analyze in SEnuke niche research module)
Number of allintitle results:
Extremely easy - <200
Easy - 700
Doable - 1500
Not the easiest - 3000
Could be Tought - 5000
Difficult - 10000
Don't Waste Your Time >10000

However, it is a top10 in SERP that matters. Sometimes keyword with allintitle result of 5000 will be easier than keyword with allintitle 1000, but most of time the lower allintitle result equals to easier keyword.

I never tried to determine the toughness of ranking for a keyword by using this method. Looks fine for a basic analysis for a keyword. Thanks !

Just wanted to tell you that, I did link wheel and after a few days my website was in the second page of Google for the desired keyword. I started another wheel and checked later that my site went to 13th page for the same keyword. I continued building links and now I made it to the first page (7th position ). I also noticed in between that my site kept moving between page 13 to 17 while searching on Google.com But,

I tried to search again here - >
Code:
http://www2.sandbox.google.com/
and it showed up on the 2nd page as usual.

@harizd, that google sandbox link is great. i always thought it was believed the sandbox was a myth. no joy for my site though. my auto blog doesn't even appear in the top 200 results now in google and sandbox searches. i guess i'll check again in a few days and report back here when i get any improvement.

@micallef, i created this autoblog the same time as many others and nothing this drastic has happened to the other ones. it has GOT to be something to do with the linkwheel. I'm just hoping that it will recover and bounce back

I had been hearing about linkwheels alot , I did had quite a bit success , but it seems like if I use MSN spaces as a web propertly and post a back link there , I got de indexed at msn .
Any experiences ???

Ive had a ton of trouble getting them indexed.
I have created a total of 20 different linkwheels based on different niches. Only 10 links are indexed. so 10 out of around 120.

I have built backlinks to each, use BMD on each, pinged it, social bookmarked them manually.
