Linkwheels - Post Your Successes and Failures Here!

The allintitle method is USELESS for niche research...all you need for finding a niche is Market Samurai...find a niche with lots of searches, check if a domain is available using psychicwhois.com (.com, .net., or .org ONLY)...then check the keyword on MS's SEO Competition keyword to decide if you should go for it. I've developed 3 different-keyword-sites like this, they are all on the front page for their respective term with NO backlinking. (One is #5, One is #2, One is #4)

@michallef - I have literally read every single post you have made, especially in regards to link wheels. Very interested in learning more about this from a more lames men perspective. Why don't you create a service for something like this? You obviously have gone through all the ups and downs mathematically/systematically what have you. Would you be interested in creating link wheels for me and some of my websites. I would be willing to pay top dollar.

Obviously I know the ways of search, read, test, learn, fail, search, read, test, learn, etc.

Still going to give it a go with your useful thread/topic/discussions which has got my head spinning with ideas.

PM me if you want to chat. I would even be willing to compensate you for your time. Any thing you could enlighten me on or spell out from your experience thus far, would greatly increase my overall success from the start.

bump. may i also ask if you should use the same keyword/anchor text to link together everything? so if my hubdomain is bluewidgets, should all my 2.0's be about blue widgets and anchor using blue widgets? i've read otherwise, which is why i ask, but it seems if you're spinning the same article how could you do it any other way?

I have a few newb linkwheel questions:

1) Can somebody explain the importance of follow/no follow in relation to web 2.0 properties? I sort of understand the importance of SE rank, but don't understand the relation in creating the linkwheel models and the inclusion of no follow properties. Does one include or exclude them in linkwheels.

2) Could somebody elaborate on inclusion of keywords in the spinner articles and in web 2.0 properties? Where do they go, approximate placement, how many times? Article title=main keyword? Anchor text another main keyword or can this be a variation of main keyword, etc..? I'm really confused about this, or am I even understanding this correctly?. I've read that one should vary your Anchors and keywords in spinners for maximum effect and ranking on other terms, is this important?

3) Does the site map still need to be submitted to google/yahoo, even if you are getting indexed through backlinks in linkwheel?

4) How long should one wait before doing social bookmarking and rss feeds on a newly created let's say 12 pronged linkwheel?
 
Thus far I've crated 3 wheels:

1. 9 hub wheel with 3 focus hubs. each focus hub has a sub wheel with 12 properties.

- Results: After 5 days my money page went from 9 and 10 to 6 and 7. Since then (now 6 weeks later), my site has dropped back to its original position. The highest indexed web 2.0 property is a quizilla page stuck on page 5. 1200 allintitle where id deem number 1 ranking as easy.

2. 6 property wheel

- No improvement in rank. None of the properties come close to page one. Some pages in top 20 have <10 backlinks.

3. 25 property wheel with with 6 9 property sub wheels.

- No serps improvement after 4 weeks. Main indexed property is page 4.

Maybe Im doing something wrong, but ive tried 3 different types of wheel and nothing is working for me. I've chcked them all and they're all online.

So the only thing I can do now is to use Angelas method to build backlinks to the properties and see what happens. This is pretty time consuming though and not something I really want to do.
 
Maybe there is too much competition for you targeted keyword ? Did you put the keyword in the urls as well ? And yes, you have to build at least some links to the properties for it to work, depends of the competition.
 
I created a linkwheel of 14 properties for a keyword that my website was on 5th page and after 5 days I am on number 1.. but works but keep in mind if your keyword has so many searches and results you need to make linkwheel AROUND linkwheel and patience to see results.

I don't think it matters what your wheel looks like as long as they point to a central website. All the diagrams are valid.

Just wanted to bump this up, as I really would like some answers.
 
guys i need help i created a wheel for my site which deals with premature ejaculation for men.everything went well till i finished but only to check later after 5 hours and found that some people have flagged my contents how do i prevent that one.
please help.
 
When I created my link-wheel, it got indexed fast, but got deindexed the next day :(

I used web2.0 properties and linked to main site. I can't understand what I'm doing wrong. I know how to make plenty of Unique Content, so it shouldn't be a problem.
 
my first try of the wheel is not very encouraging at all.

made a 10-"spoke" wheel.
3 days later on site explorer, i got 1 link?
many of the "spokes" also have only 1 link... even though my wheel is more like a "bicycle wheel".. meaning it's not just 2 out links.

i got 2 hits according to g analytics.

i even used DirectoryBot, RSS bot, etc. to spam all my spokes as well as the main site. Guess what - i got absolutely nothing out of the bots - not even a backlink, except for 1000's of garbage emails? anybody has experience with these software?

ok, so the keyword on google gives 33M listings. still, the problem is i dont get any backlinks?
 
i having real probleum too may be my probleum is just cuz of the content i dun know how to spin articles correctly :S:S
 
So I know that each link wheel attacks 1 keyword and points to 1 url (money site).

For the content being used in each spoke: Is it better to write up 100% unique content that has complete read worthy info./screen shots/etc. or is the same article spun about 40%-60% unique more likely to increase the overall rank/traffic directed for that keyword search?

For the viewers that would see these spokes when searching the key word, wouldn't it be better for them to see something that is going to interest them enough to pursue on to the money site. I know that if I were to land on a poorly designed part of the spoke I would most likely go back to the search engine and look for an alternate search result.

Then to take it the next level.

Would you think that it would be better to create lets say 5 link wheels for 5 keywords that all point to the same money site or would it be better to have those 5 link wheels and 5 keywords pointing to multiple domains (dummy seo domains) or even sub domains of the money site, which will then link to you money site.

Also by taking this approach, do you think that having all the dummy seo domains or sub domains for the money site also link in a wheel? Could that also help this process?

All my linkwheel have 100% unique content. I have create linkwheels for my home page of my site and also sub pages of my site. The pages I have built linkwheels around all rank position 1-4 in google for my keyword.
 
Would interlinking link wheels into 1 bigger link wheel work? Assuming that your going to try to attack multiple key words with each link wheel and interlink them into lets call it a "master link wheel". This would be the bigger wheel that pulls all the traffic from the smaller link wheels and points to your money site.
