Linkwheel / Mini-net Buildling... QUESTIONS

I have read on another website about buildling a mini-net. Now the difference here is that the guy on the other website wants you to buy .com/.net/.org/etc... domain names (Keyword optimized) instead of .blogspot.com .wordpress.com .hubpages.com

What would the big difference be? I mean:

The domain would be brand NEW (So you have to build less links in longer time)

What other advantages/disadvantages does this method have?

Brand new domains do not have any pr. but in the long run they are better because it know all properties will never be removed or deleted.

youre willing to buy hundreds of domain names just to be able to create mininets? I dont see the logic there. Whatever benefit it has, will be quickly outweighed by the sheer cost of purchasing that many domain names. Youre better off with free web2.0 properties. They leak PR from their main domain.

That's exactly what I thought, and also the reason I posted up this question. I would prefer to get a web2.0 property because:

- It's FREE!
- It already has potential link juice
- It will get indexed easy
- Already has a lot of backlinks build to the domain (which means you can build links at a more rapid pace)

Yeah, and what?! Do the subdomains on wordpress.com and the other platforms have PR? No, they don't.

If you want to spam with poor quality autogenerated/autospun content or autoblogs with stolen content, then use the free blogs. If you have good or average quality content (by that I mean written in correct English), then buy your own domains. 100-200 domains hosted on different C-class IPs will take you a long way in terms of rankings of a main central site. Not to mention you can slowly grow them and monetize them as well. But for ****'s sake, don't put 100 sites on same C-class IP and/or add AdSense to them or leave footprints bigger than BigFoot's.

Free blogs have their role as well. I think you should use anything and everything that helps you get links and build an infrastructure.

Do you think wordpress.com can ban you for having too many backlinks pointing to your blog? I think it was the case with one of my blogs.
