Life on Mars ended by nuclear war

Exactly. That's why I always consider every possibility.. maybe humans were living on Mars 65 millions years ago and they wanted to come to Earth because it was a better planet for their future and Mars was dying because of nuclear wars and stuff like that. So they decide to wipe out the major living form on Earth at the time, the Dinosaurs, but something doesn't go like they had planet and they end up all dying on Mars except for some human-life seeds that they were able to send to a Dinosaurs-free Earth.

You might think this is science fiction, but really.. it could be real.

Mars could have had a core made out of ice cream and chocolate. The Martians liked chocolate more than ice cream and mined the chocolate.

Eventually the constituents of the core became unbalanced and it triggered a volcanic cataclysm.

Ice cream spewed from the volcanoes for thousands of years, causing temperatures to drop dramatically.

It got too cold for the Martians so they came to Earth.

Eventually, the ice cream on Mars melted and evaporated into space - which is why there is now no evidence of life on Mars.

It's indeed an awesome quote, but I like it from another perspective. The first sentence is trivial (no information), and the second one is deliciously sly (In a scale of 1 to 10, they could be equally terrifying with a grade of 1, but the "terrifying" word is what strikes out to the reader rather than the fact, bypassing his analytical process).

That's right. The word "terrifying" is what got to me. I know exactly what that "terrifying" means.

Terrifying in that sentence is when you go scuba diving out in the deep sea. You are at the surface and you feel great. Then you put on your aqualung and dive down 10, 20 meters. Then you go down some more.

As you look around you, the surface now looks just a bit more blue than the darkness below you. You look from side to side and all you see is different blue. There might be life below staring at me, there might be life across each side, but to me it's all just endless blue....that's what "terrifying" meant to me in that sentence.

That's what we are in the universe. A pale blue dot and everywhere we look it's just an endless sea. That's f'n terrifying.

You really got yourself thinking hard there didn't you.

And if they found it, do you really think they will NOT keep it a secret?

Thats the question

But there will still be plenty of evidence to be found.

There is a fossil record, a sedimentary record, an atmospheric record. There will be evidence of past life for billions of years.

Amino acids (the basic building blocks of life) have been detected in interstellar dust clouds tens of thousands of light years away. If scientists can detect something so small, so far away, do you really think they are incapable of finding evidence of life on the planet closest to us?

And if they found it, do you really think they will keep it a secret?

Thats the question

Well every time they find any potential evidence of life or its precursor chemicals and compounds, they have a habit of openly publishing and publicising it - they do so in order for the evidence to be examined.

That's what science does in the search for real answers.

Complex organic compounds found in space - published
Amino acids (even more complex) found in interstellar space - published
Hydrocarbons found on Mars (although these are easily formed by non-biological processes) - published
The 'wow' signal - published
Potential fossil evidence of life in a Martian rock sample (although it was later proven to be geological) - published

Every time something interesting is discovered - it is made public.

So no, I don't think they will keep it a secret, because they don't.

What can be gained, by keeping information about life on mars secret if it did exist or existed?

Guys, please stop taking strange drugs... or give some to me :D

There are several theories out there of why governments would keep this to themselves. I don't subscribe to any of them. Or perhaps just the last one, which is the true one....

One of them involves religion. For what should be obvious reasons (we wouldn't be as special as we thought we were, and God may not look like us after all...imagine fixing all those books with the friendly bearded Big Guy....).

Another involves social order. They're afraid that society will stop respecting governments if they find out that there's something much much more powerful than governments out there.

Another theory involves warfare. If these beings can come and go at the speed of light, if they can disable nuclear weapons like some military folks have sweared they can, then we're basically sitting ducks and they can enslave us at will, so governments keep this secret so we don't find out and go desperate.

But the real story is SERPs. Yup. SERPs. Aliens control Google's algorithm and if that secret gets out I lose my main income. Sigh maybe I shouldn't have disclosed that.

Its definately possible but we dont have enough evidence. We honestly dont know much about space. All of the information we obtain from other galaxies is strictly by observation and light emission levels. Completely theories.

I like how you think. If you put your theory togheter with my over-farting theory... it now becomes obvious there was beans and chilly into the chocolate, which might be unusual on Earth but not for Marians' taste. This is a unique interesting twist... I must go in my basement lab to study this further... see you later.

I usually just dismiss these stories as complete BS, but somehow reading a renowned doctor talk about this with such certainty gives me the chills. Do you believe there was a nuclear war on Mars which ended life there?

Well this is something new! Article like this in Huffington post!

I think we're onto something. It makes perfect sense.

The excessive methane the Martians were putting into the atmosphere from farting would have definitely contributed to the melting of the ice-cream sheets.

All these 'Martian nuclear war' theorists are nutjobs - it was clearly ice-cream volcanoes and chilli-chocolate farts that wiped out the Martians.

The atmosphere was mainly polluted as a result of the confectionery revolution, where the martians built huge ice cream refineries ran by burning large quantities of bean rocks mined from the planets core.

Yes, it was polluted because they forgot to protect the whipped cream topping atmosphere by adding fresh milk to it. The confectionery revolution guys didn't like the sweet flavour and used pre-fabricated cream and all hell broke loose!

If you havr time then read about Ancient Indian technologies. You would be amazed to know what all was present. From nuclear weapons to inter planetary planes using anti gravitational planes. There is a whole book on aeroplanes (not just ordinary ones). Germans used Ancient Indian books during the World war as a base to create the advanced weapons they possessed that time. So did USA build the atom bomb using Vedas as the base and German scientists of course.

There have been episodes of atomic warfare on Mars mentioned in the holy book. Not just stories but proper scientific descriptions.
If you want to look for anything just type in google xxxx according to vedas . For starters type in evolution according to vedas . You will be surprised how this version is so much better than that of Darwin's.
