But I hear you.. I've been sending about 100-200 Mails per week last few weeks. Depending on my free time; this is just something I do on the side.
Aiming 1000 by the end of the next Month. Might even open a Thread myself

I'm not going to just hand over mailers that we have designed and tested...BUT if you want me to take a quick look at something that you have sent or are thinking of sending I will do my best to give you some feed back and suggestions. Haha yea. I use pre-stamped self sealing envelopes right now. Saves so much time, not THAT much more expensive too
I don't want to hijack netmoney1's Thread man. I might open my own once I have some free time, dont worry.

Use self stick envelopes...we tried the "pre stamped" envelopes too...but found a better response with the actual stamp vs pre stamped and metered mail

Should have the printing back late next week as well as the inserts we are using...then a couple days to have them all put together...have this batch on the calendar to be sent out on the 9th of August, which is a Friday...this will have them hit our destinations on a Tuesday.
As far as the 800 number most voip phone systems allow you to add additional 800 numbers easily. There are several different solutions to track calls. I really helps....800 numbers for adwords/ppc ads....another one for all landing pages promoted with seo....break it down as much as possible so you can really know what works....

No worries. Will update in a few weeks when I have solid data from phone calls generated from this mailer and sales. Going to let it go for a few weeks once they are delivered to get a good data sample.

That gives me an idea.. Ill share it with you all.
Put a SPONGE in the package!. Its big bulky and soft.
Say something like.. we included the sponge because we wanted to show you that we can help soak up some of your lost revenue by our seo services or some shit like that.

Just get creative with it and you can use virtually anything. They key is to find something that is bulky enough to catch their eye but not too bulky to drive your mailing cost through the roof. I like to try to keep each piece of mail I put out the door $1 or under (including the postage).
We have some ridiculous "bulk" items on order for mail tests.
