Staying on that content grind :D Published more articles/edited old ones. Also building more free backlinks, which are often times profile links so they don't get indexed naturally. I'll have to use an indexing service at some point when I have a bunch of links i need to index. I never know what content to use for these backlinks, as I think its not worth it for me to spend a lot of time on that. So usually i just spin some other article and add a short section about my service where i include my link. Let me know if you have better suggestions for that.
 
Today I was looking for expired domains in my niche for 2 reasons. If I sound one with good meteics I could redirect it. If I found one with content, I could reuse that. Neither of those happened lol, got some shitty content I might use for a backlink.

Also Ive been working a lot on an important feature that Im already advertising on my site but havent finished yet lol. Sadly its being a pita, but i hope i can get it to work soon

What's the advantage? Especially now that I know bootstrap and my site is up and running I doubt I'll switch lol

But I really hope things will speed up, as that keyword isn't even one I really care about. I'd be way happier to finally see my actual keywords in the top 100. I hope that's enough (it'll be tough enough to even stay focused on this project for that long if I'm not making visible progress), but I also have plans for non-organic traffic that could hopefully get me some revenue. But for now I'm focusing on SEO as that will take long to build up, so it makes sense to start it asap.

That's a great question! I speak a few languages decently well, so I will do those myself: english (done already of course), german & spanish. My spanish isn't that great, so I will use deepL to speed it up and just proofread and correct whatever doesn't seem fitting to me. For other languages I will probably use deepL too and then get a freelancer to proofread/check it, that should be cheaper than paying for the whole translation. But I have some other stuff to do first, then I will do languages I know and then later on other languages :)

That sounds like a promising plan as far as your blog is concerned.
Do you use country-specific .TLD's for your website, such as .de for the german a.) SaaS website itself and b.) blog? Is your blog directly integrated into your website? How regularly will you post blog posts? Anything else (related to SEO) you'd suggest noting / keeping an eye on?

So far I only have one TLD and I think I'll want to keep it that way as It'd be quite a bit of effort to set all of that up I think. Google actually has a guide on how to set up multi-language sites here: https://support.google.com/webmasters/answer/182192?hl=en and I think I'll go with the subdomain route (de.mysite.com, es.mysite.com, ...). I hope I can easily set that up with my backend. And yea my blog is directly integrated in my site, like mysite.com/blog/articlexyz. I'm not sure how much I will be posting, I'm aiming for at least an article a week. It's a low goal, but soon university will be starting again, so I have to be realistic with how much time I can allocate for just writing, as that's not the only thing I have to do for SEO and my product.
Do you mean SEO in the regard of multi-language sites? In that case I can recommend that google article, because that's where I got my knowledge from :D SEO in general would be too much to list, I'm not an expert either. I just read a lot on BHW and see what google themselves say too ;)

No worries, depending on your country the odds are pretty low it will continue by April, 20th (that's the date Germany tries to boot the academic system) - though statistically speaking, it's unlikely that is going to happen. So you might have a bit more spare time to use on your glorious project.
Do you use any SEO services? I'm completely inexperienced regarding SEO, so that's a stumbling-stone I need to get rid off (if I finally continue my project, but I'm so lost with coding right now as Flask is harder than I originally imaged it to be).

yea exactly mysite.com would be the english variant. Also, another aspect why I think I want to only use one TLD is so I'm not splitting my authority in the eyes of google, because with a new TLD I'd basically be starting out from scratch again for that language.
My uni already said they will start on the 20th for sure :/ It'll only be online classes, which my uni can handle, lots of lectures were already being recorded and uploaded without corona in the past semesters. I'm sort of glad it's not being postponed further though, as it's my last semester and it'll be tough enough already to finish everything I have left (it would've been easy without corona, but now 3 exams got canceled which I'll also have to write next semester then instead).
So far I don't use any SEO services, aside from free stuff I get on here :D That includes high DA backlinks from threads and review copies I get as a Jr. VIP. Currently I'm waiting for Google Stack links from RealDaddy which have very good reviews, so I have high hopes that they will help get my site off the ground. I will definitely keep you updated on how it affects my site. I also got seowl.co for free, which I mostly use to track my keyword rankings. But they have a free tier and there's other free tools for that too, as long as you don't need to track more than like 25 keywords.
Sorry to hear Flask is giving you trouble, did you start with a boilerplate project? Maybe that can help you get the rough setup going quicker, or you can use it for other inspiration for stuff you're trying to add to your project. Yeah you mentioned the github repo and after researching the matter I found many other as well as took a course about Flask programming. The thing which gives me headaches is the overall project syntax as far as all the different parts are concerned (and how they play together); for sure, I'm not the biggest Python expert, but I could manage to dig into some documentaries and StackOverflow threads in order to learn it, however the mix is what is driving me nuts.
Ouh, well COVID-19 (and the academic consequences) are a sort of double-edged sword. ;) Best of luck regarding your exams and keep on learning.

Ah I see what you mean with the connections in flask. Yea that gave me trouble at first too. Reading docs and just practicing and getting used to it is the way to go i think.

Any specific set-up, IDE or in general tips that you could share helping out with these connections.. I've pretty much looked through all of "Flask SaaS" YouTube videos (as there aren't that many) and I just can't seem to wrap my mind around how some of these parts play together.
 
I use the pycharm IDE, that works really well to find what code references what other piece of code (ctrl-click the code).
Maybe this video helps you if you haven't seen it yet, I watched that and liked it, so it must've helped me back then :D

@Aulig another question regarding your blog: What kind of content do you post? Posts about your general niche? Why to use your product? Tutorials / Guides how to use your product (do you have public available help pages - could be good for SEO, right?)?
