Guys , I am daily giving advices and even selling (clean & used) laptops to my customers in Germany..Repairing too if I have some sparetime.. Please forget at first glance the brands.
You have to look your CPu first :
if you are tight with budget Intel i5-8xxx , if not i7-8xxx ,i7-9xxx or even i9-9xxx ( 8xxx or 9xxx represents 8th / 9th generation , 9 th gen is new on the markt but they are expensive in laptops nowadays )
(Note : if you need video editing , encoding decoding , i5 maybe not enough )
So 2nd important thing : A Dedicated Graphics card with at least 4 GB dedicated memory.. Nvidia MX150 is pretty good and powerfull in laptops (It is as a reference there too many Graphiccard models)
3rd spec : your Harddrive will be SSD ofcourse but , there are m.2 SSD s, more confusig m.2 is only the connection form (m.2 with pcie SSD , and m.2 sata only ssd s exist )
you want to go with "m.2 pcie ssd" if you can find they can reach 2000-3000 MB/sec read speeds while sata ssd s mostly 400-550 MB/sec levels )
4th : You want a at least Full HD (1920x1080p )display with quality IPS panel ..Screen size under 15" it is not nice to work guys, we need to see details it is not android at hand.. (just my personal experience)
5th : Amount of RAm 8 GB with empty extention slot, or direct 16 GB DDR4 ram..
Rest is not too important but still : number of usb 3.0 (3.1) ports , supported wifi satandart , if you need optical drive , Battery life (mAh amount)
I have just adviced 1 week ago a customer , lenovo i5-8250 with mx150 but normal SSD , full hd , she paid in amazon 600 € ..
And it is quite powerfull..CPU I dont advice AMD but , CPU intel + graphics card AMD possible (even AMD more heat problems in laptops ..)
Please look at the attached image below , model numbers can slightly different in your country ..but They are all monster Laptops , with desired filters above applied ..
