Kindle JV: I Write, You Publish & We Split the Royalties

I have been quite successful in making a living from Kindle, publishing on the KDP network and am looking to expand what I do by working on a JV basis.

The system I use is basically a variation of the James Patterson model (he is the bestselling author in the world), where I research and outline a plot for a fiction short story and then outsource the core writing. It then comes back to me for editing and publishing. This enables me to publish a lot of books, rather than toiling away writing just one.

WHAT I BRING TO THE JV
I will provide you with fully researched books, a cover and all the information you need to upload the book to Amazon KDP in step by step instructions.
In return I want 70% of the royalties on a book sale.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE JV
You need to have an EIN or receive 100% revenue of your Kindle sales from Amazon.
You get 30% of the royalties.
Your own KDP account to publish the books in.
A Paypal account.
An Amazon affiliate account

ADVANTAGE FOR YOU
You get high quality books for your KDP account.
0 upfront cost or risk to you in return for 30% of the royalties.

ADVANTAGE FOR ME
I cannot get an EIN so Amazon withholds 30% of my income.
You help me doing some grunt work.
I get paid the same amount as I do now, 70% of the royalties.

You realize that there is a way around that? Depending on which country you're in all you need to do is submit certain forms to amazon and you'll have your countries taxation...

My personal circumstances mean I cannot get an EIN, hence the need for anyone I JV with to have one or get 100% of their royalties without tax withholding.

To answer a question a number of people have asked:

An EIN is a US tax code that says you are not a US citizen and so should be paid by Amazon gross.

If you are not a US citizen and do not have an EIN you will not get all your KDP royalties.

Lets say your royalties total $1000 per month after Amazon takes their 30% royalty share, when it comes to paying you Amazon will deduct another 30% ($300) as US Tax withholding, meaning you will only get $700.

You will only be able to do this JV if you already have an EIN or are a US citizen paid 100% of your royalties.

Im from Canada and we have a tax treaty with the US so there should be no problem.
