Kimbo Acting like a striaght bit*h

I think Kimbo got hit to between nose and mouth and as far as i have read theres nerve center somewhere behind that area =/

Bad luck for him

Fking rulez . only my opinion tho

Kimbo is way over rated. He has little skill. If he faces a steady skilled opponent, he has no chance. Almost all his opponents are going to be strong enough to inflict some good damage to anyone in their division. This is where skill comes in, it significantly increases the chances of getting your opponent into a vulnerable position where your strength can do its job.

Kimbo will eat you alive if you try to come at him like a pit bull (the way he does), back off and get out of his way and you are almost granted to beat him. He has lots of things to change up if he is to succeed in the ring.

Now there is only one guy that was hyped up like Kimbo. That's Brock Lesnar. Lesnar is a beast though. I don't even know if Couture who is a champion can handle his power. I know Mir took him out when they fought, but I think he would kill Mir in a rematch. He keeps getting better and improving, Kimbo seemed to fight worse each time he fought.

I don't think the "real" mma community took kimbo seriously...like Dana white once said faber is 145lbs and would give it to kimbo

I started watching kimbo's fights from underground several years ago. We all knew kimbo would never make it to the pro's and if he did, he wouldn't last.

On the streets, he fought nothing but scrubs. And that's also what they've been feeding him in the ring too. Yet, the average person doesn't have a clue, they just like to watch kimbo.

What they do is, chew you up and spit you out. People enjoyed watching kimbo fight, his funny looks, and how he talks which = money for the show.

He's not gonna last, unless he does a complete turnaround. He's just not a top fighter.

Also, I have 2 pro fights under my belt. Its not that MMA gloves hurt. You don't fall because it 'hurt'. If you get hit in the right spot, anyone who's anyone will fall. Your brain basically shuts down to protect itself.

if he goes down the same way in a rematch or his next fight kimbo=old news

I think that most people do not realize that those little gloves do not offer any cushion to the one being struck with them. Bastian, you are correct in stating that it is not that it hurts, but that one was actually struck properly in an area of the body/head that results in KO or TKO.

Like a kick or punch to the liver. Most people go down like a bowling pin with a well-placed kick or punch. To others, it looks like it was nothing. But to the one being struck, it was devastating.

Congrats on your 2 pro fights!

I love MMA........I used to get harassed by some of the Black Belts (years ago) because I worked on knee strikes, leg kicks and elbow strikes(and boxing)......and because I thought we should work more on ground work and throws, etc. And that we should be able to combine them all in our training.......

Hmmm.......I wonder who was right about that one? :)

Anyway, I applaud anyone brave enough to go full contact in an MMA fight.

Keep your hands up and kick ass! :)

I never liked Kimbo anyway.

Man Gina Carano is one hot chick. I was searching for her pictures on the internet the other day and she actually looks like a chick, no exaggerated muscles or any sign that she's a fighter. She's smokin' hot!

Gina's was the best fight of the night. That girl is hot hot hot! Gonna be an interesting fight with her and Cris Cyborg.

First Lesson in boxing, Don't drop your hands!

I fucking can't stand the way he keeps his hands down
Exactly! Chuck's last 2 losses were directly due to him not keeping his fuckin hands up. It pisses me off to no end, because he's such an excellent striker. Chuck, just lose the redneck brawl stance and you're golden.

As for kimbo, eh, I never believed the dude could do shit anyway. He's just a street brawler who fights other (less-skilled) street brawlers for laughs on youtube. Not saying I could beat the guy... but he's definitely not top flight material. Maybe 5-10 years from now...

Kimbo doesn't belong in Mixed Martial Arts but you can't blame the guy. It's not his fault the EliteXC folks use him to pimp up the ratings. They rode his 'internet' persona to lure in the non-mma hardcore fans. Then again he's no dummy and is just doing it for the dough. He's always been respectful talking about MMA and that he's just learning. All the hype is from EliteXC. You can't blam Kimbo. He got $500,000 for that 14 seconds. Not a bad payday.

Seth is the new hot topic (they found all these pictures of him):

faber really killed it. Kimbo is really good, but now too much press.

I am with you all on this one. WHY does he keep his hands so low? Rashad watched enough of Chuck's fights to figure out how to beat him.

I see people with their hands low all of the time. Instant recipe for defeat in the ring/octagon and death in the street. I learned the hard way about that one years ago.

I liken it to defeating yourself with little effort on your opponents part. When we do UFC classes, I am always telling the other person "keep your hands up" "don't drop your hands as you jab or cross".....it is just amazing to me.

Maybe Chuck will change his hand placement. Not that it would really be that hard for him to do. It is really a shame to see him defeat himself with such a Fighting 101 mistake.

I loved the womens fight, Gina is great and she keeps her hands up. She has good technical skills as well.

I like Gina.
I think here best tactic is that she keeps here hands up.

Tank Abbot was the first to wear gloves in UFC, he was smart, other guys were breaking their hands. Those are to save your hands, they'll still break a face easily.

Kimbo was...is...and will always be a bum, he was all hype. It was already mentioned on here that he was fighting bums on the street...scrubs....that's the truth, he has no chance in the ring against any of these real fighters. Even if he trains and comes back he will never be a winner, he might last a little longer, but that's it.

I been watching UFC since the beginning, back when half the guys had no real training, they were just brawlers, no gloves, no rules, just beatdown....I miss those days, they were entertaining. Kimbo would have done ok in them days, but not now. These guys now are trained athletes, Kimbo is just a brawler.

Well now who knows what's going to happen to Gina Carano and Kimbo. I read yesterday that Elite XC is officially out of business. Looks like they have to find new companies to fight for.

Like Dana White says, "Kimbo fucking sucks and he does not belong in MMA." He went on to say that he should continue to fight at peoples bbq's cause thats where he belongs.
