Hey all, So i see on somepages they have at the obttom of the page like a section sayying something alon the lines of Keywords; bla, blah, blahh, does this help in ranking the page for them keywords and alternatively could they not just use tags, so worpress has the option to add tags to your post if putting keywords in these tags would that help as a tag is also interlinking?

Thanks in advance

Tags are not important ranking factor a long time ago.Ussualy they are nofollow by default on wordpress. They can help you with search function on your site, not SEO.

Thankyou very much :) is it worth to add key words at the bottom of the post or will this look bad to google and have a negative effect on my ranking?

Thanks

Keep your keywords in first paragraphs of article.
Also include main keyword in title,H2 tags..

I would avoid it, it was an old tactic and I do see sites still doing it but it can be dangerous as it can be considered keyword stuffing.
Make sure your on-page is optimized and it shouldn't be necessary.

For google better not do this, might still work for bing. Google wants a readable content for the users, keywords naturally in head, body sections and in title, headings. You can use tags for interlinking and user experience, but I don't think they have significant benefit for seo.

That's a really old tactic. What you can do instead, is write a paragraph or something that includes your keywords in it in a way that makes sense. So if you're selling t-shirts, you might want to talk about how your cotton shirts are great for summer wear, and so on. Lots of shopping sites do this and it seems to help them.

Thank you all for the advice!

Lets say i write a thousand word article covering my 5 keywords is their like a rule of law at to how many times maximum i should use the keyword's in the paragraph or page, will google look at it as spam if i use the key words exessive about of times

I think you should avoid to this technique, try to use keyword in the first paragraph, middle and footer paragraph.

Note. Keyword in first paragraph is counted to the highest score.
