Keyword Research Tools

Thanks for the suggestions guys - cant really get my head around the keyword planner
Maybe I need to spend more time with the new planner, but when I tried it today, I got no results for my search terms. Nothing but blank lines where the search volume should have been.

Hey I feel I must enlighten one point.
Of course , keyword planner is root , and every program base on keyword planner. However , the tools like market samurai , ultimate niche finder has more function than keyword planner . Like some metrics you can't see just click on keyword on keyword planner .
And I can probably say that Market samurai is one of the greatest tool that use math well in my opinion .
So If you are like analytic type , and want to see what you're eating , my vote is for other tools plus keyword planner.
But If you only want to search for keywords , not detalyzed , not looking for depth so my vote is for ONLY keyword planner .
Hope that helps mate :) .

Well, Honestly I find Google Keyword Planner more good and helpful in compared to Google AdWords. It comes with a good features. If you not familiar with GKP than go for semrush.

semrush is great but its not free
for market research i use google trends, its simple and easy to use
Thanks

Try Long Tail Pro. It uses the AdWords KW planner data and then does a lot more with it.

The new Google tool is completely based on the PPC search advertising and competitions. I am currently using Wordtracker and I found it useful for SEO.

The AdWords Keyword Planner Tool sucks where I am because the numbers have seriously whittled down. SEMRush is pretty good, but I'm still looking for a good alternative.

I'd suggest you learn KW Planner.

It's not that difficult. If you don't want to figure things out on your own, look at a couple of videos.

Think about it, if other services are using Google, then it only makes sense for you to learn it..

Either way, wish you the best of luck.

I agree, its literally the same thing.

:) I can give you the keyword research tools free but the language of tools is vietnamese ! You can search google " phan mem seo ISEO " ah see it !
Good luck !

OP, is the problem that you do not like the new keyword planner, or that you don't like change?

Me, I just hate someone changing a system I already know.

It will take an hour or so re-learn how to use it. (you Tube)

As for alternatives, I have and use Market Samurai, it is especially useful when looking at the competition you are up against. If you hae trouble figuring out what the data means, MS is a good solution for you. I believe it is available on the forum and has a free trial.

I have and sometimes use long tail pro. I bought the lite version mainly because it is a quick way to use the google adword planner without going thru their interface, and at $17,it was worth it as a convenience. You fire up LTP, and let it do quick and dirty data retrieval, useful for when you just want the raw data or when you want to confirm the numbers from prior research.

I used Stealth Comptition Keyword Analyzer too, and it was my favorite for niche work. but it is not available because of the change. In a few months when it becomes available, I will buy it.

If anyone bought it and do not like it, let me know, I'll swap you for it. (It was available here, and I meant to buy it....)

The folks who own Ultimate Niche Finder are members of this forum, and it is supposed to bea good program. Cannot find a trial, so I haven't tried it.

Also, there is a tool called "Niche Finder". I do not thik it is the same as "Ultimate niche finder", but it may ahave some good points.

All that being said, in IM, you need to b ale to use he major tools to be successful. Google tools are the major tools.

I use Market Samurai. It works on Bing results. MS completely botched it when the moved to Bing. Everything is off.

I too have had trouble finding good keywords to use after the google keyword tool got removed. I will try one of the services mention on here....

I use Market Samurai for my keyword research tasks, i recently bought it, its little bit slow but its good with a lot of features.
