Hey guys, after google launched this stupid keyword planner my keyword research went to shit and i dont know how to use the new one.

Are there any other good tools people are using right now for keyword research? i know a few used to rely on the old google keyword tool so i have heard a bunch are now broken.

    Thanks

I'd suggest you learn KW Planner.

It's not that difficult. If you don't want to figure things out on your own, look at a couple of videos.

Think about it, if other services are using Google, then it only makes sense for you to learn it..

Either way, wish you the best of luck.

I don't think he's asking for a keyword research tool that doesn't use google's keywords, he just wants one with an interface that isn't confusing or restrictive.

There's nothing confusing about the keyword planner. Lol, more or less straightforward..

Keyword Planner is better now and allows to process up to 250,000 Keywords at the same time. So I think in this point its great.

Keyword planner is my 1st choice. If you need only keywords then go for keyword snatcher by Jon Leger it is very simple to use.

hi, Google new keyword tool is more biased towards Advertising rather than simple tool. The bad side is, you can only punch 50 keyword in search box at one time.

You can also make use of Google Trendz and the "related searches" on Footer in SERP....
    Thanks

Honestly, I really only using the Google Keyword planner to get search volume these days. Sure it only provides estimates (just like every other keyword tool out there) but it also seems reasonably accurate and includes mobile searches. Yes its different than the Adwords Keyword tool and there's a very slight learning curve, but its serves well for my purposes. I'd have a hard time justifying spending money on other Keyword tools (even if they provide further analysis) because all I want are the estimated search numbers. I have a combination of other tools that I use to analyze those keywords once I've got search volume from the keyword planner.

My recommendation is to get comfortable with the keyword planner. Its not THAT much different from the adwords keyword tool (at least if you're just trying to get search volume) :)

I'll be honest...I've never really gotten along with Google Adwords tool too well. The suggestions it offers me are too raw that it takes a considerable time out of my schedule to clean the list. I'll paste an example (for the EXACT set of keywords. My niche: dog training):
List of a few Groups returned by Google Adwords Keyword Tool
    - Training Classes
    - Clicker
    - Leash Dog
    - Aggressive
    - Training Online
    - Therapy- Agility Dog
    - Keywords like Dog Training Charlotte nc

List of a few Groups returned by Keyword Country
    - Dog Behavior training
    - Dog Training School
    - Dog training tips
    - Potty training dog
    - Dog training books
    - Dog Training Supplies

Isn't this difference in Keywords like...tooooo BIG?
