Hey guys,

I am currently building a website which raised a question where I didn't think of before. I will explain my question with an example:

I am building a website and want to rank on keyword X. Obviousely, I try to implement this keyword on my landing/first page to climb the SERPs. The question: does my landing page also climbs the SERPs when I use this keyword in my blogs, or will this only help that certain blogpost on ranking with the keyword X?

TLDR; So does the use of a certain keyword on a page/post only helps climbing the SERPs for that certain page/post or for the whole website?

I hope I explained it clearly ;-).

Thanks a lot!

But will the main page also rank more and more for BHW when I use that keyword in my blogposts / service page etc?

According to me, The Answer is NO!

BUT

If you interlink your post from the inner pages to the homepage, For example when you write a post in the inner page and mention BHW then Link the term BHW with your homepage.

It will help you in your SEO efforts If you build any backlinks to your inner page then you will indirectly give power to the keyword "BHW" which will give rise to your homepage too.

What John said.

If your site is about one particular niche, let's say "Black Hat".

The more content you get, the more niche relevance and authority within the niche your site gets.

If your homepage is focusing on KW "Black hat" and inner pages on "black hat for kids" "black hat for dogs" "black hat for grandmas" and you interlink everything, whether via body links or related posts, all your keywords will get a benefit.

Your site will grow as an authority within the niche and all your pages and posts will be pushing each other up.
