Keyword Focused SEO vs Topic Focused SEO

I always feel like keyword SEO is the best solution you can even make topic SEO with keywords only

Covering a topic fully brings in traffic for multiple related queries automatically.

I’m seeing the same thing. Keyword-focused pages still rank sometimes, but they’re much less stable now. Sites that cover a full topic tend to hold rankings better, especially after updates.

From what I’ve noticed, Google is less interested in exact keyword matching and more in whether the page actually solves the user’s problem. When content covers related questions, subtopics, and intent naturally, it seems to build stronger trust and survives updates more easily. Keyword targeting still matters — but only as part of a broader topic strategy, not on its own.

I'm seeing the same thing.
Keyword-focused SEO still matters, but only as strting point. Pages built around just one keyword drop fast after updates. Topic-focused SEO works better because:
  • It matches search intent, not just phrases
  • Builds topical authority
  • Naturally ranks for multiple keywords, not one
Best approach now is topic-first, keyword-supported. Use keywords to structure the content, but cover the whole topic properly. That' what stays stable.
