after ive searched for a keyword, it gives me a option to check the the competition strength, how accurate do you think that is?

Is there a better way to find out how hard it would be to dominate a niche or just even a certain keyword phrase by examining the competition for me.

But if you do a search on something like *jo mammas fruitcake* and the #1 person has 50 backlinks and its a inner page ranking for it, domain is article posting site and the #2 spot is fruitcake.com and has 1000s of links about fruitcakes (none about jo mammas) wouldnt you say that keyword phrase would be easy?
