keyword density still matters?

Ask for a guest post just for commenting on BHW and that too not written by him sounds like a unique approach lol

Do I dig it, always seek guest posts/options for posts - but also - consider spinning the article, and posting on non-personally owned sited (medium.com).

Keyword density is not as important as before. If the text content structure is good, there is no need to worry about the keyword density.

Keyword density doesn't matter

Keyword stuffing matters A LOT

Keyword stuffing penalty is enough to push you 2 and 3 pages down in serps

As long as keyword in SEO title and a phrase match in H1 heading you don't need to mention it anymore and focus on headings related to your niche and keyword

So, if you are writing product reviews, I would expect to see pros, cons, best price as sub heading .. and same goes for any niche

Don't worry about the keyword density if the content is good.

Keywords density seems to be an outdated concept nowadays. Maybe you should work on topic revelence ? Think about it as a list of word that you need to cover. For example, if you are writing an article about cats, do you cover cat's food, cat's litter ? and so on ... By having almost 100% topic revelence, you 'll make sure to cover the entiere topic.
Good point on the topic relevance. But in the example you say to put three separate topics into one article which is a bad idea.

keyword density still matter a little bit, but it matters, so use the keywords wisely, with keyword LSI

Use keyword density ratio in the range of 2%.
While preparing the content or article, use the keyword in necessary point.

It definitely matters, especially for long tail keywords. With that said writing shitty content with the right density won't help you.

Sites with a high authority do benefit from high keyword density, but powerful links with the right anchors are more important, IMO.
