Hey guys I am completely new to internet marketing and was wondering if you guys had any essential tips that I should know like how to tell if you have a good keyword or some good ways to get backlinks and get ranked high or what is the best way to monetize your site?

What kind of site are you promoting? a service or a adsense style site?

my advice for you is that on this forum and on all over internet you find million of ways to earn money .. stick with 1 method in starting and dont change your plan so often or else you will be lost in this darkest jungle

Ok thanks for the useful tips. I was planning on building a site, ranking it, and using adsense (is that even the best option?)but the one problem i am finding is trying to identify a good topic/keyword that has low competition and lots of searches. Are there any parameters i should follow to find a good keyword and if i find a keyword thats good how do i know if its going to even bring income?

All and any suggestions would be great

Try each method. Put time into them and don't give up until you make money, then scale it up.
Worked for me.
