Never ran an actual FB ad campaign. But, I just onboarded a client to do marketing consulting. Have a call with her next Tuesday to talk terms. I can grow her business without the ads, but eventually she will need to use them.

So, I need to get my feet wet fast.

Is it possible to run ads to a clickbait-y article about a certain topic (with some kind of purchase intent language). Capture pixel data from visitors on Ad Account 1. And then share that pixel data with a 2nd ad account. Then run ads from ad account 2 retargeting people using the pixel data on and send that traffic to affiliate offers that relate to the clickbait-y article.

Im not dumb, I just have zero experience with this. Anything helps. Please correct me if I'm going off-base here. Thanks!

TLDR -> Is it possible to share pixel data between two separate ad accounts. For retargeting purposes. Just need to get a feel for how FB ads work.

Yeah, you can definitely share pixel data between accounts, just set up a Business Manager and use that for sharing access

Are you talking about one pixel sharing up to 2 or more accounts that share the same customer data?

It can, you just need to add those 2 accounts to the same BM, the BM already contains the data pixel
You can test it 1 day in advance because recently BM often has pixel-sharing errors

Yes, I probably shouldn't have led with "clickbait" in my original question, but I'd do something under that umbrella. Just need to get my feet wet to say "Yeah I've done this"

For sure, thank you for the insights. Definitely won't be offending people, just stopping scrolls. Its there anything specific I need to watch out for when you mention, "Make sure you follow privacy and data protection regulations when sharing and using pixel data".

Yes, you can share Pixels between two ad accounts by adding that account to Pixel access in Meta Business Manager. This enables retargeting across both accounts.
Proper sharing: Go to Business Settings → Data Sources → Pixels, add the ad accounts to share

Yes, you can share the pixel data between 2 ad accounts as long as they are on the same Business Manager
