Just got a speeding ticket!

I am not whining about the ticket itself, but police explanation why I got it.

Driving 40 miles in 25 miles zone - I agree, its stupid of me, even though everyone on that part of the road drives even faster because it's empty, straight and no cameras and I was driving with same speed everybody else on the road.

But freaking cop said it - I stopped you and not other car because:
- you drive a sports car
- its orange
- you have short number plate

Sorry, what? I really feel discriminated by Prius!

It means if you have money or social standing - you're better off than us normies - you should be held more accountable for your actions.

I still think the cop just hated orange.

Or maybe a Prius felt up his mom once. Who knows.
 
Not unheard of in NL, cops are known to tail luxury cars and sports cars to ee i they break any laws. hell they are encouraged to by their superiors.
 
Why does it matter? You were speeding, you got a ticket. Period. So what if everyone else was doing it. You are the one who was caught.
 
I've only ever had one bad experience with police while driving. When I was 18 years old, I had a cop follow me for several block. When I turned left on to a less crowded street, he pulled me over. Want to know what his reason was? Because he thought I was some 13 year old who stole his parent's car. After I showed him that the car was in my name along with my license, he said, "Oh, well, uh, just be careful" and left.

@Zwielicht you must have had a child like face, not surprised he stopped you though ive met some kids who definitely pull stuff like that.
