Just came across this article about WP and Facebook!

Hey everyone! I've been lurking on these forums for a long time but this is my first post hahaha. It's nice to meet you all; shout out to people who have posted guides and knowledge as I've learned a lot from you all.

Anyway, regarding the topic! I stumbled across this article just a bit ago (don't know if this has already been shared) I read the rules and don't think I'm breaking any by providing a link and if I am, I apologize. The article states that starting in mid April Facebook will allow instant article posts from WordPress websites as long as they follow a certain order/format that FB approves. Since It's my first post I cannot add a link in here, but if you google the following "TheVerge" and "facebook-instant-articles-wordpress-blog-plugin" it should come right up.

I hope this contributes to something for this website as I've learned a lot just from reading the links in the BHW newsletters and etc.

That bullshit is for instant articles... who in the world would want to give their content to facebook for free? There are no monetization options, you are not getting any visitors that way... I have no idea how this should help anyone but FB.

How do they drive traffic when the content is on FB itself already? What's the incentive for the reader to visit the blog when they read the whole article already?

Okay then...duly noted pal, just thought it might have some significance. ._. With a reply like that I think it's safe to say I'm going to like this place even more for brutal honesty. :newbie:

Wasn't meant to be harsh towards you, I just get infuriated when I read about FB trying to lure webmasters into this program. Even if they drive traffic first somehow, they will do the same as with fanpages. They will cut reach or the ways to drive traffic and keep the content on site. Too many people have invested too much time to create content for FB for free already.

It's all good brotha, if it was a useless post hey it is what it is. TBH I just hate what Fb has turned into all repost garbage from buzzfeed erhm.. "articles" if you wanna call them that.
