Emmm... sounds like a loser, right? well, maybe I am a loser.
But...
Here is a backstory before I get into what this journey is all about.
I've been playing around with internet money from 2010, in and out without any serious project. tried Google Adsense but I never get my websites approved. Then I start learning Android programming because I find Admob is the easier option.
I started to apply for google developer account, and then upload my first app. The earning is never above 0.5$/day for that app. so, I got frustrated and give up, then I started a youtube channel because again getting Adsense approval through youtube is much easier. From that android app and youtube channel combined, I can earn around 1$/day.
well, enough to buy coffee for a month. I keep working on my youtube channel to gain more revenue.
But then 2018 come. And new youtube partner program changed the policy, disabling my youtube channel.
And now, looking back to my AdMob account and I was like "hell, I should work on this project instead.."
December 2017 I Joined this forum. Never post anything, just learn, learn and learn. April 2018, I found a journey by vinku. Same project, same method, different level.
So here is the journey, just like any other journey here, this one is no different, just as my personal note and to keep me focus on my goal.
10$ is really small, right? maybe.
But considering my salary from my 7-4 jobs is around 120$ (hell, IDR 1.660.000 to be exact) it's more than enough for a living.
My method? well, upload at least 20 apps with stable earning of 0.5$/day/app.
Sounds easy, right?
well, not really.
The majority of the users of my app is from tier-3 country. so 12 ads click from 2000 ads impression just barely make it to 0.5$.
So, in order to earn 0.5$/app, I need at least 1000 install on each of my apps.
1000x20 = 20000 install, that's not hard at all, you might think.
But from my experience (since I don't know anything about ASO) I have to rely on ads to market my apps.
I've been trying two ads services, Facebook ads, and Google Adwords.
Facebook is cheaper, but I could not gain any install from Facebook ads.
Google Adwords is more promising, but its a lot more expensive.
To gain 1000 install I need to invest at least 50$ (~IDR 600000) multiply that by 20 then, well too much...
(1000$ ~= IDR 13.851.000)
Considering my monthly salary is only around IDR 1.666.000 and my monthly spending is around IDR 1.500.000
So, yeah. 10$ is not that small for me.
My plan is to make 4 apps, try to market my apps manually without Adwords or Facebook Ads to make at least 2$/day by next month. So I could use that earning to spend on marketing for another apps.
Hopefully, I can reach that 10$/Day goal by the end of this year.
What do you guys think about this goal?
Any suggestion? I will appreciate any kind of them.
