[JOURNEY] - Creating A Solid Income Stream

Good luck! Looks like you have thought a lot about your plans and execution, success is waiting!
Thank you! The plan seems clear in my head but the execution is a different story :D

Good luck mate! Wish you every success!
Thanks!

DAY #4

Today I created 3 Fiverr gigs offering writing services. My services are way too cheap atm - I will write 2x400 word articles for $5 etc. I just want to get some orders and if I do then after some time I will lower the word count. I see people asking $5 for up to 250 words article so.. I still haven't got any orders though :(

I also decided on my "brand" site topic finally and bought a domain. The name sounds awesome to me even though it's not word-to-word related to my topic but it's more like a.. poetic name or I don't know how to describe it in English. I also went through tons of responsive themes and I am stuck between 2 choices: "Story" and "Bizmo". I would really appreciate if you could suggest me which one would be better. "Story" is prettier and really sleek looking while "Bizmo" is simpler and more masculine maybe. "Story" has also special menus and design for mobile while "Bizmo" just makes the main post area narrower.

Amazon got no love :(

Interesting Journey! Good luck and keep us updated :)
Thanks!

DAY #5

I had a huge hangover and I did nothing but I had my first Fiverr gig ordered so I did that. I hope I get some feedback.

Good luck with your journey mate . Keep us updating
Thank you!

I am of the same mindset, so good luck and God bless!
Thank you!

DAY #6

I wrote one 1200 words article for my site today + about me page. The about me page is not that good and I need to rewrite it. I divided the 1200 words article into 3 pages on my post. I hope it will help me get more ad impressions and more adsense clicks.

My fiverr gigs have not got any new orders. I will have to join some review exchange group.

No love for Amazon. The "brand" site is taking up most of the time this far.

Like I said, I am horrible with time management. My parents are pushing really hard for me to get a job, I feel pretty unhappy at the moment, it will take ages untill I will see a penny from the "brand" site..

DAY #7

I have messed around with a piece of code for 2 days and got it working today the way I wanted it. This journey has gone slow but I will keep going.

Today I want to start getting Twitter followers and I have searched how to get followers on FB page also. It seems that it's hard to get real likes for your page, only option is paid ads :(

I will search how to get followers on Google plus and pinterest also. I have no idea how Stumbleupon works and people have told that this traffic is shit for affiliate offers but maybe it's not that bad for getting a reader base.

I will also search for groups on social media sites to join and post my site to.

DAY #8

I have been following 100 people/day on twitter and reading about ways to generate traffic via social media. Shit is harder than I thought :(

You've to offer something like 100 more words if the buyer review with feedback your gig.
On Fiverr it's hard to get reviews and you need to give something back.

After few hasr tests Google plus it's really hot for the follow trick. I've a 25% follow back and in few days you can make a lot of followers.
The important thing is that you've to target them.

Hmm, how many can you follow/day on G+ without getting a warning/ban?

Like I said, I am horrible with time management. My parents are pushing really hard for me to get a job, I feel pretty unhappy at the moment, it will take ages untill I will see a penny from the "brand" site..

So just get a part time job for a few weeks/months to:

A- Learn some discipline
B- Have some cash to invest in your endeavor

Then leave once you feel like you have have injected enough cash into your business. ( once you have cash don't forget to pay your parents back for the time you are spending there :) )

Ok, as I said my parents were pushing me really hard to get a job. So, as my parents are very good people, I managed to make a deal with them: I will set some realistic goal on a specific date and if I manage to fulfill that goal then I can keep on working on my project and if not then I will get a job. End of story.

So, this will be my motivation. I was thinking what it would mean to me if I really had to get a full time job.
It would mean:
  • Giving away my freedom
  • Getting shitty pay in exchange for lots of time investment (the salaries here are very bad)
  • Having to wake up every day 7 AM
  • Being tired as fuck all the time
  • No spontaneous nights out
  • Feeling there is a stick in my ass all the time because I have to please somebody (boss)
  • No flexible working hours (some jobs allow it though)
  • Most of all - feeling like I have failed again

I think it's a good thing to have this kind of deadline, it will wake me the fuck up. I have been the kind of guy who has made the best out of him when there is something very important to lose (in university, during my exams at high school).

So, now I need to create a goal and commit to it 100%. I think it's best to commit to my "brand" site. I already created a thread in the forum asking if 1k visits/day in 2 months is possible via SEO without targeting any kw-s but just through some random kw-s in google. Everybody said it's possible so it gives me hope. The thread is here.

I told my parents that I will give them a deadline for some goal. I know that it's not in my power to guarantee that I will get 1k visits/day and it will results in x amount of money. But I think that if I want to reach that goal then I will produce more and more content and promote my content any way possible so I COULD reach that goal. And even if I don't reach it, I know atleast that I gave it my all and I am sure I will get some results that I can build upon even if I have to get a full time job.

So, Fiverr and Amazon sites have now been put on hold. I will DEFINITELY continue my Amazon project if I reach my goal with the brand site. Fiverr, I think I will scrape off.

What do you think, is 1k visits/day after 2 months possible without targeting any kw-s?

DAY #9

I wrote 3 articles to my site, they were total of 2000 words. It took me around 5 hours to write. I have no idea how people can write these things faster. I guess it's cause they are native speakers and OR don't have to think a post through as long as I do. I posted my post in 22 related Google plus groups but got no traffic from there.

Hey karu, best luck in your journey!
I write much faster than you do! How I do:
For me, I separate article in two categories, the money site ones and the others.
For the money site, I translate english article to french (my native language) and I correct them.
For the others, I use dragon naturally speaking or I translate!

Maybe you don't speak another language, so what you can do (and what I do sometimes) is just to find the best articles in your niche, first you read once, second you read and in the same time you try to make them look different and use dragon to be faster.

I don't if my advice is useful or not for you. I wish it is :)

@algorre thanks for the advice. My biggest drawback is my grammar when writing these articles actually.

DAY #10
I missed the last day so I wrote 6 articles

DAY #11
I wrote 3 articles.

I need to search a list of topics to write about because the ones I had on top of my head have been written.

DAY #12
I wrote 3 articles again

DAY #13, #14
I wrote total of 6 articles.

Past 3 days I have been once again rendered myself unable to do anything. I got such a writers block and started thinking once again if this method will lead me anywhere at all.

I think it's inevitable that I will have to start searching for a job in 48 days from now.

The best method for getting a "fast" income is atm the meatheads method of promoting a CB product on blog comments and forums etc. I once tried it but I was finding it very hard to find any blogs and forums that dealt with this problem. My niche was self-help. I answered yahoo answers, joined forums, posted threads and put the link in my sig but I was not able to generate any significant traffic and I mean more traffic than 1-4 people/day. I did manage to sell one product.

I am afraid of trying this method again as I am afraid I will hit a dead end once again but I know this method is possible because of this journey thread http://www.blackhatworld.com/blackh...kbank-search-engine-optimization-jacking.html

I read all kind of methods yesterday for making money and this method seemed the best that doesn't require money and produces money fast.

It seems that even when I am interested in a subject, writing about it day in and day out gets boring real fast - content generation is not for me. I am yet to find my "thing" in IM. I really want to try media buying and email list building. Using them together and separately.

I just wanted to post what I am doing atm. I have made a deal with my friend to write couple of articles for him for some money every day. It takes a lot of time because I am still novice but it's better than nothing. At the same time I am creating web 2.0-s for my old 3 projects. Two sites are on page 2 and I thought I should try to get them on page one. The third site dances between #100 and not in SERPs.

If I have some time and learn to manage my time better then I will also start adding CB product on my 11 months old review site to see if I can rank them due to my domain having the "age" factor. My other goal is to get started with Amazon still but atm I haven't gotten that far. I will most likely have to start searching for a job in the middle of November.

Sound exactly like my situation. I'm 21, living with my parents, got fried due to too many tardies but i'm dedicated to making this work. Failure is not an option even though my parents still think i should go out and get a "real job". Just treat it like a business and work all the time you work.
