[JOURNEY] - Creating A Solid Income Stream

Here we go again! Hello, I'm Karupoiss and I am a journey-thread-aholic, instant-gratification-aholic and laziness-aholic. I have had around 3 journey threads before and I have stopped updating them all after a few weeks to month.

My problem has been lack of belief in myself and laziness to do the tasks required to make the method work. These two make up a sure fire way to failure in any field of life.

I have made some money with YT and content locking before but lately the game has gotten too hard and I am too broke to continue with that method. I have also tried churning and burning with GSA SER but again, Google changed things and I was not able to rank anything anymore and I mean ANYTHING (kw-s with the lowest competition you can immagine).

I have been at home for 2 years and 3 months trying to make it in Internet Marketing. I am 25 years old and my parents are quite fed up with my way of living. I can't blame them. So what will be different this time? The main difference will be that I will not try to short cut it. I will not try to get some fast money with spamming some stuff or do methods that are not that legit or long term.

If I want to make IM my living then I need to treat it like a real business and that means - provide something useful, do things right, give things time and put in consistent effort to make it work. Work a lot and work smart. I am not an idiot but lazy with little self belief. I am sick of never finishing anything that I started in my life. I want to change that - It's very important to me!

What are my goals?

• Create 2 Instagram pages that have over 20k followers/each
• Create a "brand" like website that gets traffic from social media
• Create an Amazon affiliates site that gets traffic from search engines

I will have 3 different projects.

I want to dedicate around 1 hour/day for the Instagram pages (I have bought Instagram Mega Bot Advanced). It shouldn't take that much time.

I want to dedicate around 4 hours/day for the "brand" like website. I will have to choose something I really am interested in so I could stick to it. I want to write high quality content and then create pages on social media sites, get followers (semi-automatically), join groups and forums etc and get traffic via that. At the moment I am finding it hard to find my niche and the way I will monetize the traffic. This would be my biggest project ever done and I am excited and scared at the same time about it. I have gotten a lot of ideas from motzart journey thread.

And third, I want to dedicate 2 hours/day for the Amazon affiliate site. This project I have the least faith in because I am horribly bad at SEO as my past has shown me. I will not expect much from this project but I want to do it as best as I can, maybe by doing really HQ stuff, Google will love me and rank the site. I will follow the guide posted by Nick Flame here.

So that's it. I have the knowledge, I have read a lot but now it's time to really make it all happen. I don't want to set a timeframe as my past has shown me that even my lowest expectations have been too optimistic. What I DO hope to see is that by the end of the year I have atleast 1 out of the 3 projects that generates me some income.

It's good that you're taking action, and I'm sure that if you stick to it and work hard you'll start seeing some revenue.

One thing I could personally recommend depending on your current situation is getting a (part time) dayjob. It will help build your discipline, budget, and it'll force you to introduce some structure in your days.
I used to be more or less in your apparent situation (struggling to find any motivation, giving up quickly, desperate to make things work for me instead of the otherway around) until I got a job.

Definitely don't quit your day job Good luck and will be following

I know how you can feel yourself in this moment but don't give up! Go and make your journey every day, every minute and every second.
Money it's the best thing to think!

The only way to fail is to quit.. or more positively... The only way to succeed is never quit! And that includes your day job! IM is not something anyone can start.. it hard hard work.

and and the hard bit is:

When you want to go.. "oh mah goddd.. I need a 5 min break... *scrolls down fb*.... *30 mins later*... oh mah goddd.. so tired.. its hard to concentrate..."

when ever you feel like that.. you just got to ignore yourself. What I do is relook at my to do list (pen and paper), and sub divide it into smaller chunks

You might want to rethink your plan just a bit.

Your goal is to provide something useful but you're talking about reselling Amazon products with a goal of SERP traffic. That's not useful. Your Instagram accounts have no focus towards monetization and your "brand" site lacks focus that will help it become monetized as well.

You could easily accomplish those three goals and not make a single penny.

Thanks for the advice. Discipline has been hard to achieve for me for years. I don't even know how I managed to get a degree in computer science. A part time job is in my options list as I am broke and my parents have pretty much lost any hope in me.

Thank you! I guess the most important thing is not to think about money but about what can I do today to get more traffic/improve my methods etc.

Thanks for the advise! I don't have a day job My main train of thought is that if I get a day job then I need to grind out the hours to get money but when I have my own IM business I have to put in as much work as I would when doing a day job but the difference is that I am building something that has a long term growth potential/passive income.

I will have to make a list like that for sure if I want to get anything done. I have a notepad for that

The Amazon site is, like I said in my OP, a project I have the least faith in because of the dependence of SEO BUT I hope that by doing quality job I will rank for some terms in the end (in 3 to 6 months).

My Instagram accounts will first sell shout outs OR I will content lock some ebook. It will depend what niche I will choose (I will start choosing the niche tonight).

My "brand" site's goal would to generate traffic from social media. I want to monetize it with CB or CPA but I have to first figure out how to sell the best with a site like that. The idea is to post quality content about a niche and then get people on my site from social media. This is the biggest project and the one I have to do the most learning.

I did not want to make a money oriented goals because my actual problem has always been the ability to generate traffic.

I think this could be useful if the correct content will be uploaded on Instagram. "Useful" has a lot of meanings...and in the context of Instagram content it's very easy to come with useful content.

I meant the word "useful" more in the context of "legit" as I have content locked mostly fake hacks and shit like that in the past.

DAY #1

I will not count the days from the actual start of the journey because I will probably lose count of the correct number I will count the days though that I have worked on my projects.

So, what did I do yesterday?

I have some bad news from the start. I searched for 2 niches on Instagram and ways to monetize those. I found them and that's good. What is not good is that I have no way of uploading pictures to Instagram I don't have a smartphone and I need to use PC for uploading pictures. I searched the web and the 3 options I found was: use Bluestacks, Gramblr or buy followliker. You can read from here why none of these options work for me. Unfortunately I haven't got any helpful feedback. If I can't figure this out then the method goes out of the window.

There isn't bad without good though. As I am broke and need money for survival (read: hookers j/k) I thought avout going to Fiverr or/and to other micro job sites and set up services. I can replace the Instagram "time" with working in Fiverr. I have one service set up there like a year ago, I even got one order but haven't gotten any more since then. I will have to read up a lot on how to get orders on Fiverr and then promote the services somehow - I don't know how but I will have to find a way. If you have some good Fiverr tutorial threads then I'd appreciate if you would post them here in a reply.

I also went on a search for the niche I should build my "brand" site in. I actually Googled the phrase "how to find something you love" and then went through some bulletine points and wrote out what I enjoy etc. Turns out I am a man with few interests and I haven't experienced much in my life. It seems that IM has consumed me and made blind for other stuff. I did find one area that interest me a lot though, it's self-help.

Though, again, I have my doubts. If you could and reply to my thread here then it would help me a lot Thanks!

And third, I reread Nick Flame's Amazon thread and wrote down every bit of information I could find in it and asked a few questions myself.

Plans for today:

I plan to browse Fiverr and figure out what service(s) I could provide. I could do YT related things like comments, likes, subs etc. I have GSA SER so I could offer some link building services with that. I could build up some social page like Twitter and then sell shout outs.

I plan to watch the movie "jOBS". I personally do not like Steve Jobs for some reason, I don't even know why, maybe it's because he created a brand around the idea that if you have some materialistic item then you are an "elite". Anyways, the marketing he did was genious and I want to learn about great ideas and mindframes.

I also plan to search for Amazon niche kw-s.

DAY #2

Yesterday was Saturday so I did not do that much work. I searched for tips on how to get more sales on Fiverr and collected them into a notepad file. I will try to create several gigs so that I have a bigger chance of getting an order.

I have still not found a solution to my Instagram problem.

I did not get that much feedback to my "brand" site niche questions but I think I will still stick to this niche because if I could get a lot of traffic and a following then I can use CPM or Adsense on my site and still earn money though I would like to be an affiliate to something more. Maybe it would be a good idea to put adsense on the site and at the same time build a list so I can selle affiliate stuff to the list later.

I did not manage to do anything with Amazon. I read that a G is rolling out another huge update atm and the SERP-s are all bananas so.. yea, good luck evaluating the kw competition

I watched the movie jOBS and I was disappointed. The movie was not that inspirational nor did I learn anything worthwhile from it. Most of it was just Steve Jobs being an asshole to everybody around him wanting them to work on his vision.

Anyways, today I have a soccer game and then I will search more what Fiverr gigs to promote. As it's Sunday, I will not do that much today also.

I know you think that this is me slacking off but actually, the truth is that I have to draw stricter lines between work time and other times. It all kinda melts together so that I think about IM ALL the time. That fucks up my social life, health and makes my mind foggy and tired all the time. I was sleeping tonight and during the last hours I was half wake half asleep thinking about some method on how to make money and if it works (in my dream) and it made me really anxious, stressed and when I woke up, I felt pretty shit. This has been going on for months.

DAY #3

Okay, it seems that the Instagram method is a dead end because I have not found an alternative for uploading pictures.

I spent most of the time today by browsing Fiverr again and searching for ideas that I could do. I did not find anything new. My main bet would be to offer something like 2x400 words article for $5 and if I get a few orders then change it to 1x400 or 1x500 words. I just hope my English will not let me down. It's not the worst but it's definately not error free also.
My second idea is to sell GSA links but for that I need to buy proxies and run it on my own computer as I discontinued my VPS like a month ago. I will first set up the writing gig and will see from there.

I also watched a video course on how to sell on Fiverr. I will first set up the gig and if I can't get any orders in 3 days then I will do a few review exchanges.

I also found a site called http://www.wpbeginner.com/ that has tons of useful articles for my "brand" site. I am still not quite sure on how to do the site, I want the main theme to be self-help but at the same time I want to write a lot about dating for men kind of info. I want to offer the kind of info that RSD Nation offers but to add other stuff also into it. I realize that doing it this way my main target group will be men - see, this is the typical me, trying to think everything through but never finding the "right" solution.

Poor Amazon hasn't gotten any love from me this far.

Atm my journey has consisted of lots of planning and not that much of action.
