[Journey] Building an iOS & Android App Empire

I purchased your ebook. I want to know whether you will update your previous ebook or should we buy another copy for your new ebook with video

The ebook you bought had tons of information about Google and Android. Also about Admob, how to avoid bans, terminations, stuff like this. New ebook will have the main focus on Apple. Maybe you have read the thread here, but basically 99% of my income comes from iOS.

I literally spent 2-3 years dealing with Google and ended up with almost nothing. Then I put 1-2 years effort into Apple and scaled to more than 10k per month. The ebook is about how I scaled, how I find niches, keywords, and how I make the apps. The previous ebook is useful as well, but as I said, heavily focused on Google.

Very notable just be wiery of apple, while they offer amazing traction unless your a small fry the ecosystem will bury you as it's selective on the best apps and big players are there.

Android is free market and can work outside the playstore.

Id build on soon future os harmony wuaiwai, their definitely a future player.

I have published apps on the Samsung Galaxy Store, Amazon App Store, Xiaomi Store and Huawei App Gallery...but traffic was really low. I wouldn't really recommend it. 95% (or even more) traffic is on Google Play.

For Apple, I really never had any problem at all. If you are publishing a great app, you will have benefits.

You don't have to mate. You can also just try all the stuff by yourself if you want.

I only mentioned two iOS and the play store:
I did not mention: I have published apps on the Samsung Galaxy Store, Amazon App Store, Xiaomi Store and Huawei

You did, I was explaining Huawei harmony os, android, iOS, and harmony os, Microsoft os, Linux steam os, do you understand now.

Seems you'll jump the gun assuming what ever in your head.

I think mobile gaming is an absolute gold mine of an industry. I've heard of people creating very simple, almost copy-paste "strategy games" and making $100k+ rather quickly.

The jackpot would probably be getting into the Chinese market, but I don't think that is realistically achievable.

Flappy birds was a mistake game that made the Creator alot of money, but they deleted it because it did not align with their expectations, given its trending reason was not the reason the developer liked.

Nvidia wanted to buy Qualcomm and achieve such idea, tencent diversified with epic studios, now they have access to cutting edge tools for the Chinese market, it's all about investing in the right tools, and knowing your Market and even then Chinese games are highly vetted on gambling that there's a law that prevents certain games being successful in china if they are not government asserted, while unrelated is the same reason tiktoks gaming API integration in china is something the governments aware of it's not in Western markets tho, but you can use GitHub wrapper to obfuscate the layers of hidden extraction through the API calls.

Overall the easiest market would have been hongkong, or Vietnam.

Haha this is the most braindead thing I've seen all day.

You have never published on any of the other platforms, but say its "definitely a future player".
Nakamura has, and gave his personal experience publishing on them.

Well you're he's customer and defending one form of traffic assumes otherwise. Brain-dead is relying on someone else's thought process because you fail to grasp certain concepts.

As one would say a hero is unheard, a fool follows the blind for a few that is.

Im not a customer.
You must be a bot, I can't understand a thing your writing nothing makes sense.

Get some apps published to the Huawei store and post your results.
Have a good day brother.

Guys, about the videos for the new ebook. I already recorded like 1-2 hours material and I just noticed how much of editing and especially cutting it would require.

What I mean by this: Almost every aspect, beginning from creating the project, choosing developer team, bundle id, team ID, etc. would leak private information about me or the developer account. Not only this, but also API keys and other sensitive keys for Admob, RevenueCat, Firebase, and so on. I think 99% of you are good guys and just wanna earn money, but there is a risk that there is just one malicious guy (who is jealous, hates me or just wanna earn money in a very evil but easy way) who is going to blackmail me for money or wreck my developer, admob account, etc.. It has happened to me before and it wasnt a pleasure to deal with. I am not a teacher or something, my primarily goal is to grow the app business by myself. Selling courses or ebooks is not my main business (and thats also why it took so incredibly long, its simply not so important to me, i am earning way more money by making apps).

So the editing/censoring/cutting would not only be crazy, but it would also be extremely time consuming. As I wrote above in another post: I usually make the pricing in a way that is according to the time I spent. And if I spent 100 hours recording and editing a video, the price would go from $150 to $999 because in these 100 hours I could easily create 2-3 apps. So I think i will abandon this idea for now until I find a better solution.

But to not piss you off complete, I will just make a video how to use ChatGPT for iOS coding instead, so everyone can use it no matter what niche it is. And also without leaking any of my sensitive information as well...and also it will not take me 100 hours, and the price can be the same.
Personally, I prefer to read than watch video, so don't worry, there are already a lot of videos about coding, what's hard is marketing and if you have any valuable trick, every app dev will be happy to learn them in any way.

I did both. I made a few videos with voice over and subtitles. In these videos I show how to use ChatGPT for coding, how to deal with bug fixes, set up a project, and so on. Ebook will be published soon.

Okay guys just for ur information because some people asked, new eBook is live:

https://www.blackhatworld.com/seo/mega-ebook-mobile-apps-games-money-with-chatgpt-no-coding-skills-required-easy-5-figures-on-auto-pilot-50-apps-games-inclu.1634011/

basically I offer 2 different versions. the standard which is only the ebook and videos and the pro which has 50+ apps/games in it + videos. many of the apps and games can be published on ios and android (google play, xiaomi, huawei, amazon app store, etc.)

you can use the coupon code: JOURNEY to get $50 off.

I saw many people above were interested about App Gallery, some even say it might be even better than google or apple :D

So in last month after getting removed from apple program i tested it by 8 published applications there with most quality keywords i knew.

What was the results?

All of those 8 applications makes 200 download weekly and around 28 daily, its funny to compare it with playstore, where app with that keyword easily getting 5-15k downloads daily :D

About earnings : Its nothing more than maximum 1$ from around 200-300 impressions daily.

But i did not publish these apps to china mainland because they want proofs and documents as if i were enriching uranium. (Some fancy Software Copyright Certificate XD)

So like @nakamura said all of the other stores are just trash compared to apple and google, they are mostly holding by huge brand apps like netflix, browsers or other perfectly know apps for everyone.

Any app from single dev will not have even chance to get promoted and earn anything, and even if will, there s not enough traffic. ( You can not submit there app with micropayments)

Yes, I have used several different stores:

- Amazon App Store
- Huawei App Gallery
- Samsung Galaxy Store
- XiaoMi Store

really can't compare to Google Play Store.

Update for August 2024

In this month, I didn't publish any new app. But I focused on updating and improving existing apps. Some had bugs in it, which I finally fixed. I basically read through all the reviews (which are mostly positive with 4.5+ stars), read the negative ones and try to improve. Also, I reply to every single review. This can increase the reputation of the app, which increases the conversion rate.

For two apps, I added a few more features which really improved the conversion rate. Subscription rate went up immediately.

Lets take a look into the earnings:

Ads:

Admob 1 (main account): $2600
Admob 2 (secondary account for older apps): $900
Appodeal: $250*

Total: $3750 through ads

In Appodeal I use meditation for Applovin, Unity, Meta ads and some other smaller networks like Vungle. I send maybe 5-10% of the traffic there.

One more thing, I don't really focus that much on apps. To break it down in one or two sentence: I don't integrate banner ads cuz they are annoying af and got a low ecpm. I mostly integrated rewarded ads because they got the highest ecpm from them all and they piss users off cuz they don't want to wait. Rewarded ads also pay a lot more than interstitial ads. For some apps, I also added interstitial ads.

IAP:

Total revenue: $14000

The IAP earnings didn't improve. Why? Because there were a few bugs that suddenly appeared that let the app crash. This happened for around 1-2 weeks in the beginning of August. Then I fixed the issues and the earnings improved again.

Total Revenue $17750

Paid ads:

In this month I made a little mistake. As I wrote above, there was a bug in the beginning. I was driving paid traffic to the app that got the bug, so it was kinda fail. When I realized it got a bug, I immediately stopped the paid ads.

Also, this month I spent the most money on ads I ever did. Basically, I just tried a bunch of stuff. Just hit and miss. Tried different ad sources. Different ad creatives. Tried to get as much data as possible. I simply reinvest the money I earn.

Google Ads: $3500
Meta Ads: $1400
TikTok Ads: $500

and I also spent money on keyword installs. I wanted to rank my app in the Top 10 for some main keywords. For another test, I wanted to rank my app in the top charts.

Keyword installs: $750

Total costs for ads: $6150
Breakdown: $11600

So I still got profit.

I think in September, I will spend even more money on ads, even more money on keyword installs.

People want to buy my apps:

Once I ranked my app for some top keywords, people and companies started emailing me, asking me for zoom calls so they can buy my apps. This is the effect if you rank your app for top keywords.

So its quite interesting for me how much my app is actually worth. I used ChatGPT to figure out how much I could sell it for the business standard and ChatGPT said I could sell the app between $70k - $150k.

will spend even more money on ads

that's the way to scale your business further!
you can scale wide by creating more apps or you can scale tall by growing the apps you currently have

do both and you will get there

how much my app is actually worth.

as when selling a site, you can expect a selling price between 20x and 40x monthly profit

you can ask sites like empireflippers, fe international, quiet light, etc for pricing

OH and BTW, are you currently thinking or using AI in any way in your projects?
