Its sunday afternoon and...

We have Netflix as part of our package deal and didn't even know they had movies.

In fact, I didn't really know what is on that platform.

I need to out out of 1996.

That's a known problem and lots of people have noticed it.
There are chrome extensions that adds imdb ratings, that Netflix is trying to ban.

We BHW members are strong enough to create change.

I'm not smart enough, nor do I really care about that, but I know you are.

Go at it, I'll even pay for any BSTs that would affect the change, as long as they are not negative but rather workarounds

Shaking things up is usually a good way to make the world a better place.

IMDB rating of below 7.0!
To be fair, I really don't follow these ratings (imdb, rotten tomatoes, and other ranking sites). If I am curious about a particular movie, I go to local forums and read real opinions, just to make an idea. If, after I read the movie summary + the reviews, I conclude I have to watch that movie, I'll go for it.

Have a nice Sunday all!

Evey God damn netflix movie I open to watch has an IMDB rating of below 7.0!
Why is that?
Has anyone else notice this?
It's because 90% of Netflix movies suck. They're renowned for being shit. There are exceptions:-

* The Irishman
* Hush
* I Don't Feel at Home in This World Anymore
* Tramps
* Okja
* Gerald's Game

Just off the top of my head. There are a lot more but the percentage of hits is very low.

They're trying to ban them because most of their movies suck. The problem isn't with the app / extension makers, it's with Netflix funding so many shit movies.
this subject made me think that someone could create a porn version of IMDB, I would definitely take the rating into consideration before watching
This sort of exists already:-

We dont have netflix here, thank god.
But people use Youtube like its netflix and they search for "best action movies 2025" or "Download free movies"

Only netflix? Have you checked out the other otts? IMHO everything is completely dead. :(

But hey it depends. What have you watched already?

Netflix really need to work more on buying quality content. In recent times, they've really gone below par.

Its 2025 and this is BHW...

Please tell me people on here aren't paying for Netflix or any other streaming service when we have Real Debrid in our lives...?

Kodi Box > Real Debrid = GOLDEN

I do, but not for a yearly sub. I only pay for what I need. At least we could do that and I get what you are saying. I just don’t want creators to vanish. ;)

Need a movie recommendation? Something crime driven with a strong element of strategy.

Fair enough! :p

Because they sucks, you need to subscribe to 10+ services just to make sure you've got a good hit once a week, thank god there still streaming, Thank you Russia, Thank you Vietnam. lol

I found this chrome extension still working:
Trim
Puts the ratings right on the movie cards. Most are below 7 or are new.

I think that's the one I use, too. There are a lot of good movies on Netflix though and there are databases out there that list their catalogue by the highest rated titles.

Netflix's content strategy is a scattershot approach, they mass produce mediocre content and hope something hits. Quantity > quality because they can't be in a position where there's no new content for users to watch.

Just watch the movie, haha. If you get too caught up in ratings, you’ll end up wasting more time than just giving it a shot. :D If you don’t like it, stop watching halfway through - no big deal.

Personally, I usually check out the trailer first before deciding.
