Hello,

I've created a comparison website and blog. I have several categories to compare, and each category has its own products. All the categories can be in the same specialty (digital). From an SEO perspective, is it better to separate them, meaning each category has its own website (and a domain name that indicates what it's about), or is it better to group them all into a single website?

Chatgpt told me that from an SEO perspective, in most cases it is better to group everything into one website rather than creating multiple sites for each category, but im looking for an expert answer!

Thanks you guys.

1 site usually wins unless the topics are completely different. when everything sits on one domain you build auth faster, links help the whole site and google understands the niche better.

Yes, keeping everything on one site usually works best. It helps build authority in your niche, keeps SEO signals consolidated, and makes it easier to manage. If a category is really different from the rest, then a separate site might make sense, but for most digital-focused comparisons, one strong site is usually the smarter move.

From an SEO perspective, it is usually better to keep all related categories on one authoritative website with strong topical structure and internal linking rather than splitting them across multiple domains.

From an SEO expert point of view, it is generally better to keep related categories on one website. When everything is on a single site, it helps build stronger domain authority, improves topical relevance, and allows better internal linking, which can support higher rankings. If you create multiple small websites instead, your backlinks and authority get divided, making it harder for each site to perform well in search results.

In most cases it’s better to keep everything on one strong website. Building authority, backlinks, and traffic for one domain is much easier than trying to grow multiple small sites.

Just organize the categories clearly so each section stays relevant & easy to navigate.
