It seems that Google is no longer a search engine

So I can't rank my site anymore? Damn it. I have to be an advertiser.

Youtube subsribers are useless today, like fb fanpage fans.
So better to use blackhat methods to drive fast traffic.
Whitehat methods work too slowly for me.

Yes, it's true. GG result pages look like a mess now.

This is an old topic that has been beaten to death on this forum.

The good news is that the Google “snippet system” is not actually bad news if you know how to write content that gets eyeballs.

The idea is if Google is going to show your content as “the answer” for a question-related query, you can write the snippet in such a way that people can't help but click through to your site.

It gives them a part of the answer, but it teases them.

How do you do this?

Well, you can that this is the answer, but there's a problem—that's a red flag to a lot of people, and they would want to click through because they don’t want to just get part of the answer and then end up screwing up.

Another way you can play the game is to come up with a longer list than the size of the snippet Google is showing.

If the title of your post, as well as the meta description, specifically says a certain number of list items but the actual preview Google shows only lists a portion, people would want to click through.

Use your imagination on how you can hijack Google’s “scraping” of your website so both you and Google can benefit.

Think of Google as your hype man.

A hype man gets the crowd pumped up for the performer, and then when the performer comes out, people are just on their feet—clapping, hollering, and making all sorts of commotion.

Think the same way: you're the star of the show.

You're the one who put that content up on the internet.

Use your imagination and creativity to convert Google from a scraper—that's basically stealing your content and giving you crumbs or nothing in return—to your hype man.

Looks like soon Google Ads would be automated but only for big players. As google has been planning to kick out Manual CPC feature.

They have access to your searches, they have access to peoples emails (well over 95% of the emails I collect are gmail), they have access to your location, they have access to virtually all your data...

...they know us better than we know ourselves.

They will be able to create content tailored to your wants and needs on the fly.

How are you going to compete with that?

I'm not normally a fan of over regulation, but these non elected, undemocratic behemoths need to have their power reigned in asap or thay will control society from the top to the bottom.

Don't ask regulation from states since things will go even worse. regulation isn't the solution. i know these are huge monopolies but, we need to evolve and change the way of our approach of driving traffic. On the other hand keep in mind that. These guys somehow chronies to the state itself.

I hear what you are saying, but somehow we need to have open access to data rather than what the tech giants want to feed us.

I understand that regulation isn't ideal, but when we have tech companies that are dictating the rules unimpeded and flooding into every facet of our, and our childrens, lives we need to have some form of protection/ voice.

Imo there isn't an option now just to not use the tech as it is so pervasive.

This is not solely an issue of driving traffic, but also part of a much broader an issue of privacy and freedom.
