hello BHW friends. Two days ago I just did a 301 from an old domain to a new domain I bought (aged domain), and today the domain has been indexed. However, the backlinks from my old domain did not move to the new domain. My question is, is the 301 process now taking a long time to transfer backlinks, or is there something wrong? Since I did the 301 a few months ago, the transfer is always fast and without problems. I hope friends here can give me a solution, I really appreciate any answers from all of you. Thank You

First of all, it’s normal for backlinks to take a bit longer to transfer over, even if the 301 redirect is set up properly.

Search engines need some time to fully process the changes. Give it a little more time, and keep an eye on your backlinks profile from different tools such as Semrush or Ahrefs. If everything is set up correctly, they should eventually transfer over.

Tautan balik tidak berpindah, mereka hanya mulai menunjuk ke situs baru Anda jika pengalihan dilakukan dengan benar.

Ngomong-ngomong, bagaimana Anda memeriksanya?
Saya memeriksanya menggunakan Ahrefs dan Samrush

OK bro, I'll try to wait a few days

Backlinks don't immediately transfer. You should wait a bit more for them to transfer.

Did you set up the 301 redirection using a WordPress plugin or directly through cPanel? It's more effective if you do it via cPanel for better results. Once set up, give it about a week for the changes to fully propagate and pointing to your new domain.

You need to be patient. It will take some time to see the effect and it is normal though.

It can take some time for search engines to transfer backlinks after a 301 redirect, depending on how often they crawl the sites and the quality of the links. Just make sure the redirects are set up correctly.

Good question 301 behavior does seem slower lately, especially if the referring backlinks to your old domain are low activity or from domains that Google crawls less frequently.

One thing that might help: make sure your old domain is still crawlable and has a basic HTML structure live with internal links pointing to the new URLs. If it’s just an instant redirect with no real page content, Google may delay credit transfer. You can also run both domains through GSC if possible that sometimes speeds things up.
