Is Wix or WordPress better for SEO? Does it matter which one I use long-term?

Definitely Wordpress.
  1. Yes, this is true that Wordpress is bit curvy & quite difficult to learn. It is even difficult to manage properly with minimum tech knowledge & the real problem comes when it’s about to choose right theme, plugins & shortcode.
  2. While wix is flexible for a newbie user with its easy drag & drop features, an expert team for supporting its user & really alluring interface, easy to navigate.
  3. But when the point is about stability then Wordpress is far more ahead than Wix despite its other cons. Wordpress has a large community & day by day it’s developing with powerful plugins, attractive features & so on.
  4. From the point of SEO there is no certain benefit whether you are using Wordpress or Wix. But Wordpress can help you to pick some vital points which will help your rank on SERP. So for long term use you should go for Wordpress. To make the best use of it, try to follow Wp blog & some renowned Wp related forum to gain core knowledge about it. Be a learner & Consistent.

Wordpress I think still has the advantage when it comes SEO over Wix. Wix, however have been working on improvements and issue fixes.
 
Wordpress by far. Wix is more for newbies. Wordpress is better to learn long term.
 
Wordpress is the best platform ever. We have lot of options to use on our own, whereas with Wix we are limited to their own resources.
 
Wordpress has more advantages than Wix.
 
As much as I've read somewhere before, Google doesn't really like Wix and so doesn't rank it well. Not sure what's the current situation but with WordPress if SEO is done properly you probably have a higher chance of ranking well.
 
I would say if you have technical knowledge, or willing to explore or want your website to be expandable, go for WordPress. Else Wix is good for you.
 
Wix is no good, because he like to banned account no explain. Waste time to building
 
If you need custom features & custom design, than wix is definitely not an ideal choice, but if you have less time than and don't have expertise in development than just launch your wix website and save your time by choosing one of their themes
 
Wix generates terrible markup (code) (like, truly horrible) and its JavaScript support is sandboxed and very limited! You'll have a hard time extending your site in the future and it's not good for seo.
 
Definitely wordpress!!!!!
There are literally 10 thousand times more seo apps and plugins developed for Wordpress.
Its the only way to go!!
