Hi,

I just created my store on Shopify, and later i found about Paypal thing, as I don't have a Business PayPal account to accept payments, so does linking a Personal PayPal Account to Shopify to accept Payments Safe? Did someone here tried it?

Thanks for suggestions

As far as I know, Shopify doesn't mind and neighter does Paypal.
You can have both a personal and a business account.

You can make a business account instantly.

it's free of charge to make it a biz account

Yes i know but i just want to keep my personal as it is, that's all because if something happened the PayPal support is offline at this moment, and can't deal with that

Why don't next time it is better you contact Gaypal so that the professional staff can answer you more detail or precise information. RATHER depending on some jokers here who do NOT use Gaypal at all ;)

I will try to contact them as their support is a bit slow on this situation we're facing, thanks for your suggestions

Yes I did. But that was 2 years ago. Things might have changed.
Normally Paypal or Shopify don't care where you receive your payments.
This is more about taxes (as always...).
And it's up to you to declare your earnings.

But like Cindy mentions, it's best to contact support directly to make sure.

Do you mean Paypal fees!

i'm gonna contact them and see

No, government control.

PP and similar have the obligation to be transparent and provide te government access to account information.
In principle, you are obliged to have your business account in the same country where your company is registered
or, let's say, if you don't have a company, there where you carry out your activity.
With a personal PP account you could bypass this and, if you wanted, bypass taxes...

The country i'm in, those who work in IM don't pay taxes anyway, lol there is any law that obligates those who work in IM to pay taxes!
So, i will search if i can make a business account without having a company

It is 100% safe. If you are selling physical items make sure to have the shipping tracker. You should be safe.

If you are selling digital items, if you have many chargebacks you can get your account banned and lose all your money in the PayPal account, so my advice is to always withdraw money each time you arrive to a threshold for example when it hits 500 withdraw 400 and leave 100 for your currrent expenses.

I know one guy in the forum who have lost a paypal with 200k in it!!

What do you mean by „is it safe”? Are you thinking about Paypal banning your account?

I'm going to sell physical items dropshipping, are you using a personal account on Shopify?
