Is this plagiarism?

Hi there,

I have a question for people using Copyscape as their main plagiarism checker.

How accurate is it? As I'm writing more content, some of my clients insist on using this particular one, making it difficult for me to understand what's so special about it.

Is it the best? The cheapest? What's the deal with it?

Copyscape is not very accurate, but it's the industry standard. Personally, I like quetext better.

I like Copyscape. I always prefer a pay as you go product instead of a monthly plan, like Keywords Everywhere pay as you go.

Now everyone like QueText or SurferSEO is switching to the monthly plans unfortunately.. If you do these tasks regularly, then it may fit a monthly plan, not for me though

But is true that Copyscape has aged wrongly over the time. They are not updating their algos frequently so now they are not as sharp as they use to be, compared to others.

I only use Copyscape premium and it is the pretty much the industry standard.

Unless a client says that they want to use Quetext, the default standard, as far as my production goes, is Copyscape premium.

With that said,if you're having issues with duplicate content from Copyscape, please understand that this tool detects plagiarism using three-word combinations.

So if one of those words are changed, then your text won't get flagged for plagiarism.

Also, if you can change the order of that three word combination, that works as well.

But make sure that the meaning remains the same.

I don't use this tool unless I replicate / paraphrase something. Otherwise, it's kind of useless.

Google will detect these replications anyways.

If you work with clients and don't control every piece of their content strategy, just do whatever they think is the best.

For me copyscape is the best.
Google is hardly trying to understand the local author languages.

For ex: Consider 100 business owners from plumbing industry writing the content for their business. The result will be some unique selling points, but most of the content means the same. Its not a copied content. But Google now treats some as copied as of now. In future pure writeups wins.

It's just the industry standard, and everyone knows about it. Quetext is better when checking plagiarism. Also, the credits in my Copyscape account expired when I did not use the account for quite some time.

Copyscape is like Paypal/Google you can't ignore it.
It has been the industry standard for years, so your clients are sure going to ask for it.
