Hey guys. As you can see on my post count, I've been a lurker for some time and now I've decided to finally step up and take some action by creating this thread. I dare to ask for help because I've noticed the awesome contribution of this awesome community, so if I get only one idea out of this question, it would make a big difference for me.

As the title states, I'm struggling to figure out a future "email marketing strategy" for the "PREGNANCY" (pregnancy lifestyle, health kind of niche). I want to create a niche content rich website, build a list and monetize everything through affiliate marketing.

So far so good, but here are few problems which I still can't figure out :

    1. How can I successfully group every pregnant woman into my autoresponder? I mean, there's a big difference between the needs of a woman who's in the first month of her pregnancy and one who has few more weeks before birth.

I've thought about monthly or even weekly selection - that means 9 lists (9 months) or even 40 ( 40 weeks), so each time a woman passes a week/month, they will be taken to the next list. I can group them using a "pregnancy ticker" which I can hook to the autoresponder that will automatically group them according to their "due date" selection on the opt-in on my website.

Even so, the big problem is that women which sign up late in their pregnancy will lose the connection I will try to establish from the beginning of the newsletter + important products that could work for them too but they don't get the chance to see them..It's like they have a wall in their back and they can't see my previous work, just what I have "left" for them. ( I really hope you understand what I'm saying )

Do you guys have any ideas on how can I make this work? Maybe I don't know things about what autoresponders can do?

    2. If there's nothing I can do, is this niche still working? I mean, putting all women into one "box" would mean finding very similar needs, like maybe "no pounds during pregnancy", but this system would still have some problems. For example, if a women subscribes in her 8th month, she doesn't have time to see the "step-by-step" pre-sell I will organize and they won't even be able to see the product I recommend, which is bad.

Am I right or I have a bad approach to the situation?

I'd also like to mention that this is my first "IM project" and a friend of mine advises me to quit this niche because it sounds too complicated, but it's a challenge for me and I thought I should give it a little bit more thought.

What is your advice? Should I find an "easier" niche?

So guys, any kind of ideas would be greatly appreciated !

Ps. If you're working in the same niche and you don't want to write it down here because of any reason, a pm would be so nice!

Thanks in advance for your contribution!

Hey, good luck on your project.

For your problem I can see a simple solution :

Between the email field and submit button, add a dropdown selection with the month of their pregnancy (no pregnant, already mom, 1 month, 2 months etc) that will drectly put them in your list at the good due date. Sholdn't be so hard to code honestly .

Hey, first of all thanks for reply!

Maybe I am a little bit overwhelmed and I can't think straight or maybe you missed an important point. For example. 1. Woman in Week 11 (=ending of first trimester) clicks on "first trimester" --> Autoresponder puts her into "List 1". She gets mails destined for the needs of the first trimester for only 2 weeks 2. When she reaches Week 13(= second trimester), she will still receive mails about the first trimester needs, because the autoresponder can't figure out when to put her into "List 2" ( which is destined for Trimester 2 ) -----> She will receive some irrelevant mails ---> Better chance of losing her Am I getting this wrong ? Does this make sense? I can't even figure this out in my head, damn.
