Well I don't know where to start but I feel very depressed, like most users which dont make a bank from IM but trying hard at it. (i know that feeling, but this is not that)
So i started my career with computers at very young age and still at it, currently 23 years old. BUT i am starting to feel very very bad! I feel like shit at the moment! I even cant talk to people normaly, even my mom, started to not picking up the phone on my gf and so on.. I dont know whats the spark for this but deep down i feel like this might be of the computers and IM... I stopped taking weed and dumped couple of friends which were pissing me off... I feel like i need to payback something but i never did something wrong to anyone! Also the fact that i have never worked normal job, except IM and programming.
So i decided to try normal job and applyedto bunch of companies and i got calls from 3 of them, tommorow will go to interview. And at the top of that i feel like all this years learning IM and computers will all fall in water if i got accepted to work for them. I make a buck online but i dont make enough to secure my future and kids future and all that shit.. you know what i mean. So i really dont know when i will end but i need an advice. AND NO I DONT WANT TO GO TO PSYCHIATRIST!
Thank you for any reply you guys make!

Your situation was exactly similar to mine. I had even joined the company for the job but after 1 week, decided to work for myself rather than for some company, because I couldnt work even for 2-4 hours after that blood-sucking job.

Nothing wrong at all with working a 9-5 to secure your finances. You can still continue to spend your free time reading and learning as you slowly build your Internet business. Being attached to a computer and the very nature of IM work can be a very lonely existence at times and wears you down over the years. I've struggled with this myself over the years, and found taking some extended time off to help a lot.

Focus on your financial and social life, get these in better shape and you'll feel much better.

Do some charity work in your area, it'll help others, build your self esteem, get you out, make new friends and could lead to paid opportunities through networking

Go see a shrink. It won't kill you. I went through something similar at 23 and only after seeing a therapist and feeling better and better after each session and realising how stupid I was that I needed to pay someone to talk to when I had friends and family did I realize it was only in my head, took control of my life and made it better. It's a long process don't threat if you don't make instant progress but in the end ... here I am 32 married with a child and a great life.
Only death is final. Life's great, enjoy the ride even when it gets bumpy, you ain't getting a second chance at it.

Wow, 23, take 2 years off, collect some money.

Invest in material stock which u can resell or start selling something digital.

But the most important thing is.

Figure it out how much money are enough for u so u can have fun 6 hours a day and go to vacation whatever u like.

Yes i got old grannies near me which knows me that i work with computers and always calling me to come to fix their TV, and always giving me money but i never accept them, instead taking bunch of candies :D
get you out
Forgot to mention, Also I've been on the streets for too long... and for that i got high pressure from my parents and brother which are telling me get a normal job...

get a job, if you know programming you can work as a programmer

....I dont know whats the spark for this but deep down i feel like this might be of the computers and IM... I stopped taking weed ...

YEAH ! Its defiantly because of the computers and IM !

i really dont know when it will end
Fixed the typo for you.

Nothing is wasted. All the stuffs you've learnt in IM will keep you at Edge on your job and will be with you all your life. You don't have re-learn it again as you've already improved your knowledge by learning.

What you're going through is nothing but information overload syndrome. Spend some time alone with no computer/smartphone/tv or anything that grabs your attention. Do some meditation. Go to a park/beach and schedule some time with your friends. Regaining the social life you just lost after sitting in front of a computer for long hours will already bring you some clear thoughts and energy.

No, you don't have to go to psychiatrist as we already have a handful of therapists and relationship advisors in BHW.

If you smoked a lot, you're going to feel crappy for awhile after you quit. Anxious, depressed, headachy. It'll probalby last a month or so, but it will end eventually.

whaaaa sorry dude but you sounds like a crybaby. Dude your 23, got no kids, no responsibilities. I swear some people want to get rich with no effort blood sweat and tears. Must be instagram I think its causing people to think they can get rich tomorrow. Dude IM is like a pyramid you learn optimize and move on, apply split testing to your life, see if it gets you anywhere. Also you are 23 lol you can take 2 years off and come back with a fresh mindset. Go work somewhere or go live in a different city and come back and do it again.

Yack's right OP. Your body chemistry is changing because you aren't smoking anymore. Good on you for quitting, but you should hit the gym and lift heavy things then put them down again. That'll get the T going, and you'll feel better. Being sedentary (such as doing IM) fucks up your body, which in turn, fucks up your mind. Go lift weights and see if it helps your mood after a couple of weeks.

Two things at play here:
  1. The hormonal level. Are you taking care of yourself? Getting enough sunlight? Fresh air? Sleep? Time w/ FRIENDS? (Not getting enough face-to-face time is one of the highest risk factors for depression and almost every disease out there.) Do you exercise? Eat healthily?
Have you been stuck in your room trying to make this stuff work & haven't been able to?
It's likely that your hormones or chemicals in your brain have shifted and brought you to this state. Good news is: you can shift it back by literally SCHEDULING certain things into your daily life.
    Sunday- time w/ mates 2-4pm.
Tuesday- Time to go for a walk outside 5-6pm
Thursday- Time to talk to mom for an hour
    Friday- Gym time.
You get the point. Otherwise you'll get into an endless circle of knowing you "should" be doing things to move yourself forward business wise, but not doing anything because you feel like crap.
Instead of getting into that endless circle, start taking care of yourself. IM will always be here for you & you will be way more productive when you're in a healthy state of mind.
  2. How you're looking at this.
    You've tried IM.
You're not making enough money with it to live.
You have to get a job.
You could look at it as: Oh no, I've failed because I couldn't make $$$$$ with IM and I'm a failure for getting a job
    OR
Sweet! I got a job so now my family will get off my back & I have money to invest into other IM experiments & try stuff I wouldn't have been able to try before because now I have money. I'm so glad I learned all this stuff before because now that I have money with my job, I can work after work & absolutely kill it.
Hope that helps, but remember: don't be too hard on yourself. The fact that you're frustrated at this means you're likely a high performer & we tend to get down on ourselves very hard. Look at this as a great opportunity to make money, grow, & invest.

Do not give up so soon. Things will change with time, you need to just survive few bad days. If you have anxiety or social fear, there is no harm in taking medical help also. Only one thing that I do not like about allopathic treatment of these problems is that they try to make the patient take the medicine for life. There are also alternative ways to relax yourself.

I have also seen very bad times in my life. Today when I am in good mood with friends or family, I feel proud of myself that I did not do anything stupid at that time. You will do much better than me.

I know things seem bleak right now, but that will change. You said you aren't willing to consider professional help. However, talking to someone might be beneficial. It doesn't have to be a medical professional - talk to your parents, girlfriend, anyone. Furthermore, try to distance yourself from the situation and look at it objectively. You are very young, and you don't really have any major responsibilities now. Sure, you are considering your future and are disappointed that you can provide for a lifestyle that you expect. However, there is still time to sort those things out. Providing for your family, future spouse, and kids is not something that you need to accomplish in the next couple of months. So, maybe ease on the pressure and make a plan for both the present day and the foreseeable future. Try to set achievable goals, so that you can build your self-esteem back up.
Maybe taking a regular job isn't the worst idea. It will give you some stability and reliability in terms of finances.

This is how I view it. Live beneath your means and use the money as a force multiplier.
