Never have i actually heard of anyone using two services. Is it not recommended?

I can't imagine why. Different services offer different functions. You might use one for social marketing and another for backlinking. There's no reason why you can't use two services, unless you are planning to outsource all your SEO to a company that offers all the services you require.

Hmmm, I don't see why using two services is bad. I use AMF for social signals and pay people on Fiverr for HR views.

Thanks for the reply mate .

Would you be able to recommend a good backlinking SEO company aswell as a social marketing one?

I couldn't recommend any, I haven't used any from here. I do most of my SEO work myself, except buying the odd fiverr blast. I'm sure others will be able to though, and there are lots of threads in the Marketplace with glowing reviews.

As long as both are doing different aspects of your seo there won't be an issue.

Often times each SEO company specializes so it is not to uncommon to see someone using more than one service.

I'd suggest it's important to have everyone on the same page when it comes to strategy, to avoid overlap and possible damage...

I would say you must have diversification in your link building plan. Social Signals, contextual links, blog network...everything should be in your hands.

You should stick with only one at a time (assuming full service). You need to have everyone on the same page with regards to SEO, and having two separate companies working simultaneously makes this almost impossible.
