I think its a great idea. You may just have to pave the way for a new type of service or create some type of info product course (Warrior Forum?) Or just sell the leads to agencies.
Just out of curiosity...
How do you generate the leads? Are you getting people making requests and submitting a form or are you just finding businesses with poor reviews and then selling that information?
How much would you charge for them?
I could get at least 3 months at $300-500/month.
Too cheap, Josh, double those numbers.
How do you determine that without knowing all the details? For all we know, the leads have 8 negative news articles on the front page. In that case, even tripling 300-500 a month would be too little. On the other hand, if the problem is a #10 negative blog post from for some obscure keyword...3-500 a month would be too much.
I do ORM and the ticket price for that service is much higher than those numbers.
I was not referencing the sales or cost of leads but rather the service end.
I do ORM also and my point is how would you know what to price the service if you dont know the details of the campaign?
I have a tiered pricing model and base the pricing on the needs. I do not offer anything as low as 300.00 per month at all as the work involved in even the smallest issue does not support that small a $ amount. I think that anyone offering a quality ORM service would have issues keeping the doors open if their pricing model started as low as 300.00 a month.
Perhaps my statement should have been more expansive but I thought I got my point across... clearly I failed to do that in this instance.
I've done (high quality) ORM campaigns for less then 300/m and manage to keep my doors open just fine. If a problem takes you 10 minutes of work each month to maintain, I think it'd be stupid to turn it down just because it doesn't hit some imaginary number you've set as your "minimum".
Well there you go then. You serve a client that can be properly taken care of in ten minutes a month; sure your numbers are going to be different than mine.
Nothing wrong with working that client demographic.
Exactly the point I was trying to make. It doesn't make sense to tell OP to double his prices without any additional information.
