Is there a "google dance" going on right now?

Just wondering if you guys are noticing sites go up and down the SERPs rapidly, etc? I have a porn blog that was getting some new posts (posted last week) already on the first page of google (for 2 to 3 keyword phrases) - but now not there? WTF?

yeah google has been making lots of changes recently. They are going for web 3.0 as they say...
Basically the way its goign to work is... each persons search will be personalized for them.
meaning if i search.... black hat in google
for me maybe itll show this forum
for you itll show a diff blog
for someone else itll show a diff site etc etc.. basically personalizing it per person.
The past month a lot of my rankings have been flying all over the place. My higher PR pages though have been stable.

one of my blog which was ranking too good for some keywords is now F**KED, lost most of my organic traffic.

No idea, if h'm going to get my Google traffic back!

I see some weird changes.
I am not used to changes in ranks with aged sites on a daily basis but that's what I get now... maybe part of the latest change is that there ain't nothing that is called "static , stable ranks"? each site that receives some backlinks is being tested...

I never seem to find my links for my sites when I search for terms I know I am number one. I wish Google would sit still just long enough....

So does anybody know if these up and down rankings should be calming down soon? I imagine some sites will rank good for everyone's searches, even with the individualization.

I have a couple sites and they bounce around in the google results and have for months now. On the 1st page for a certain keyword 1 day, not in the top 100 the next. Then back on the 1st or 2nd page, and so on.

I now expect the shuffling to continue as it has been going on (at least in my case) for at least 6 months.

This a new or established site, Viltedali? The site I mentioned above is like 2 years old and pretty well established.

It is strange indeed. I have a PR3 site that has maintained it's PR but I have lost nearly all of my links. I wonder how we are going to have to optimize in the near future. Looks like back to the drawing board and search for what is working.
