I want to use a secure messenger and keep my personal information confidential. We decided that this is only one messenger. I don't know his users. I can't communicate with myself. I can't show such a terrible user interface to my colleagues.

You're wrong, man.. The point is that Telegram agreed to pass information about users to 3rd parties if needed. And as for secret chats - there's a simple algorithm to hack it.
One guy did it easily, he reported to Telegram about that issue but they are so busy to put some attention to it.

You can find the official proof on the web. They can pass your correspondence and ip addresses. They say it will only concern criminals, but I tink that in order to find them they check our messages. So it's not trusty anymore.

Durov is a developer of Telegram and as I know he announced the reward to anyone who will find any bugs in the service.
But as time shows he doesn't really check all the cases that are reported as the service becomes only worse.

It seems like he's too busy for that as still there are very many users of Telegram. Just a few people will refuse it and install some other more protected messengers.
Moreover not all the people believe in this news..
