Is Self - Development Niche Worth It ?

Starting a new site.

Going to write 2500×3 articles by myself , will take me a couple of weeks to complete.

Just wondering , is going targeted on Self development/ self improvement worth it ? I have done some research on a few keywords , found that Lifehack and wiki rank for most of the keywords. So it will be hard to rank ther e.

Any advice / critics ? All welcome.

Any niche can be worth it, especially Self-development, lots of people are looking for stuff like that. Just make sure you stand out with your articles and don't solely rely on Google for traffic. Instead build a following on social media, use that to build an e-mail list and voila you'll build a site with high quality traffic without being at the mercy of alghortims. Just put in the work, write great articles and don't be scared to promote/interact.

Gotcha , i think IG will go good with what I am trying to here , I might as well buy a Motivational IG with 5-10k followers.
 
IMO, it's not an easy niche. Unless you are a big name guru in the niche, it's hard to make people want to spread your content all over the internet. You want word of mouth to grow in this nihe, not google ranking. It's a mass market niche, people goes to big name gurus directly, they don't go google up keywords to find content. It's hard, really hard niche for no-name Imers. My honest opinion ;)

Yeah , but I think that's for the positive aspect of it - like , if you need some instant motivation people straight up go to garyvee , whereas on the negative aspect where people are trying to get rid of something from their life ( self-help) , they usually go and find stuff on Google . Anyhow thanks for your valuable opinion man
 
I wouldn't say it's a hot niche but it's definitely a growing niche. Or feels like it anyway. Lots of developing countries will be getting into it now their disposable income is rising.
 
This requires extremely good content and outsourcing content will not work much as well.
 
I think quality content always have a place in the search engine heart as they always pay good attention to quality content that has good interactivity with the readers.
If your niche and expertise is in self-development by all mean go write that up and start promoting it, and gradually build your fan base which can be turned into some form of profit later.
 
Your effort on making great is so perfect. Dont look at those keyword to move forward. Just make quality content and then share these on your social.
 
Self help is tricky, people dont want help, but as they said quality matters, so if its good people will read
 
If you're successful already or can prove your outstanding success to your audience, they would listen to you better and conversion would be awesome. If you're just 'somebody', success may take a long time.
 
I think there is alot of aspects inside of Personal Development, so I would niche down heavy, and I am sure you can make it profitable.
If you put in the work of course ;)

No namers have become gurus in this niche by making YouTube vids.
 
it's a huge market, always new people peddling the same shit. You'll do well!

You articles might be too short. I've been watching Youtube videos on niche website building and these guys advise "long form" articles and said they did a study of their most successful posts (they run several niche websites) and their longest ones were the most successful.

I'm sure the key to it is to tap into whatever people are heavily searching for in the some subniches.
