Hi,
I noticed lots of marketers talking about longtailpro, SEMrush and other tools in their keyword research. Is Scrapebox still a good tool for scraping terms and long tails for keyword research?

And how about Traffic travis for competition analysis. I have found lots of comments about those products but they all date back to 2012- 2013. How about now?

Your help is welcome and highly appreciated.
Thanks,
Julio

Scrapebox still uses google suggest and other suggest options. So if a search engine is going to suggest a term to you then its likely something worth using, so I would say Scrapebox is still useful for keyword research.

I mean it does the same thing now as it did in 2013 with keywords.

Also there is an anchor text checker addon and meta grabber that you could use to look at competitions keywords/anchors.

Thank you so much for your answer. I saw some of your videos. They are amazing, very informative. I am a total rookie in this, and although I have been reading and watching a lot, I am still trying to make sense of all I am reading. I have seen that at present there is a lot of talk about SEMrush, for instance. Is there any addon or plugin to enable Scrapebox to get competition data like that as well? Or would I need to combine it with other tools like Google Keyword Planner or Traffic Travis (if it-s still good too)
Thanks in advance.

Scrapebox doesn't have anything that will get data from sem rush or any of the other sources you mentioned, so you would need to do that independently.

Thanks again! Would Traffic travis be a good tool to complement the keyword scraping done by scrapebox? Or would you suggest another tool or program that would include both?

Due to budget considerations, I am not interested in monthly fees but rather a one time purchase.
Thanks again,
Cantinflas

For scraping, linkbuilding opportunities, and other miscellaneous task scrapebox is a must! I definitely recommend it and it is one of the tools every SEO must have.

Thank you very much! And do you know if traffic travis is reliable to analyze the data after you did the keyword research with scrapebox? Or is there any other tool that could be better than using the Google Keyword Planner? Not a monthly service though, some software of sorts. thank!

Any chance of a video of how SB can find keyword or G's suggestions?
