is propeller ads 99% bot traffic?

have been using propeller ads lately to run push ads and promote health VSL products

i spent a couple hundred dollars already and no sales (wasn't expecting any at this point)

but i am wondering if anyone is making consistent profit using propeller ads + health VSL?

most of the zones i get less than 30% landing page CTR. it seems like there's a lot of bot traffic or just bad quality traffic on their push network

Are you using a Tracker? Voluum has an integrated feature that can block out the bot traffic. And yes, every ad network that promotes Push, Pop and some other sources have bot traffic. Whether it be PropellerAds, Adsterra, AdMaven or whatever. I suggest you don't just rely on one network alone and try to spread your offers through multiple ad networks. To me, PropellerAds is still on of the networks with less bot traffic than others.

one thing i do like about propeller is they have one of the most volume of traffic compared to other push network

so with propeller if you get optimized you could definitely hit $1,000+ profit on a daily basis no problem, they have enough traffic to withstand the scale

there's also a lot of shit traffic they have too

i am using bemob tracker. even if voluum blocks out the bot traffic, i think you still pay for it anyway on propeller ads. i don't think a tracker can reject the clicks propeller sends, propeller will still bill you on CPC basis

but yeah there is a shit load of bot traffic. and i mean really a shit load. if you open up the tracker and go through a good amount of the zone IDs where you are buying clicks, you will see a bunch of zones getting 5-10 unique visits each for example, and guess what? ZERO landing page clicks. that is a mega cash sink. no wonder people spend a couple hundred dollars sending propeller traffic towards a simple offer and then say they get 0 conversion. if you don't start blacklisting all those crappy zone right away, you will definitely be burning money

Of course they will bill you. My intention was more like so that you can build up your own global blacklist of Zones which to avoid, so that in the future you can save money on it.

the best scenario is to never pay for bot traffic in the first place, but i guess there is no way to avoid that lol
 
I'll write it here for you again :) Yep, there're some amount of bots everywhere, but the main reason you think that bots are everywhere is because you think that real people that not interesting in what you trying to sell are bots. They are not :) You need to understand that there're a lot of different people with different interests, ages, religion etc. in one website/zone. Anyway if you wanna see the real amount of bots and you have binom tracker I can give you 2 small scripts that will show you 99% of bots. (or you can find it yourself on their blog in post about events or smth).

may not be bots, but definitely low quality

for example, people just clicking on push notifications and then bouncing immediately after

there are a lot of these people in propeller ads networks

it's crucial to blacklist zones immediately and quickly after minimal spend. over 80% of those zone IDs you should not run ads on anyway, they are not profitable and never will be

at least this has been my experience

None of these are good networks, especially Propeller and Adsterra. They specialize in malvertising and scamming. Malvertising rarely works, it just burns budget. They mostly work with 3rd world countries, as users from there can do very little about being scammed.

All these companies are registered and operated in Cyprus (for legal reasons).

They also drive traffic from redirects to their sites that are monetized by quality networks.

You'll be lucky to make any sales. Don't be fooled by the fact they bought a banner on BHW - they didn't buy it on Google for a reason.

Nah, propeller is pretty good comparing to other. You can do this test: 3 campaigns, 3 different offers for 3 different audience: old people (nutra or smth), men (dating for example) and women (dunno, weight loss or beauty offer). And you will see that every zone would show different results for different audience. Some will have more old people, some men, some woman. And you will need BL and WL for each audience, not ad network or niche (some people say that they make universal BL, that's bs!). Also if you wanna succeed with such formats your tracker should be your best friend. I suggest you to add some more colums like: time spent on LP, scrolling rate, LP CR, LP CTR (it could be small amount of clicks but a better CR on the offer page) and some more scripts for you LP, like backbutton maybe some other like audio (if ad network is ok with that), also add push subs collection script and you will have some chances :)
 
lol propeller is by far best one. Just you cant get sales doesnt mean its bot traffic or propeller is a shit network. Its the best one compared to others.
Think about users perpective, they just try to download or watch something and bam your ad comes, how do you expect them to buy something ?
The answer is simple, you need to do agressive advertising.
 
propellers not been converting for me
if they are shitty network omg i cannot even imagine how the others must be

So which networks do you think are worth testing? I’m tired of dealing with so many bots.
 
are click tracking - monitor tools good enough ( BeMob, Skro , etc) to check if an ad network sending fake bots traffic ?
or need Heatmaps tools ... ?
 
No, PropellerAds does not have 99% bot traffic; it uses various measures to filter out bots, though some fraudulent activity can still occur.

yes thats true. i remember the first time i used adsterra and used reddit as one source to generate traffic to the site... lots of users complained there is malware on my site and i was like wtf until i did some research and figured out it was through adsterra. propeller ads i don't know, but i also stopped using that as the traffic never converted well for me and seemed really low quality. depends what you use it for i guess and how much you care what the network does as long as you get paid ;) however if you buy traffic i wouldn't use either one of them.
 
lol ofc people who advertise on pop up networks will do aggressive advertising otherwise pops have soo low click rate, this doesnt mean that networks are scam or something.
And propeller is the best so far and by far compared to others, I use it as an advertiser.
 
Try and change push ads provider, am making it in health industry with push ads
