And I am wondering whether the promotion is allowed here
I see some people promoting their services and adnetworks
Just wondering what are the rules (don't wanna get banned)

You can sell your services after upgrading your account.
If you want to open a marketplace thread you can upgrade to Jr. VIP when you've completed 60 days as a member and have 100 posts. Alternatively, you can upgrade to Marketplace seller account if you want to start selling immediately.

but if you have a website you can add it to your profile

Yes & No
Self-promotion is a big no no unless
- You have an upgraded account that supports "Marketplace/seller Status"
- It's your BST & in the right section
- You are replying to a HaF/WTB Thread
- You buy BHW Ads via Support
- Your Signature (or pay someone to put it on theirs)

Promotion on other services (you are not affiliated) are a big no no unless it's in also in the right section
If your promotion has any ref links, you would need to strictly follow the ref link thread.

Last note
Promoting in PM (Private messages) is a bannable offense
